I HAVE LOST EVERYTHING! LITERALLY EVERYTHING!

MY COMPUTER STOPPED WORKING IT WOULDNT TURN ON....ITS DEAD!!!!!! SO ALL MY HARD WORK ON MUGEN WHEN IT COMES TO CHARS, STAGES, MUSIC, EVERTHING IS GONE!!!!!!

was all of those caps necessary? Also IMO that post wasn't need to be made public.

Just start over, It's not like you are the only one who lost all of their mugen materials. One of the main reasons that sites like this has Databases and such so you can somewhat regain your materials.

p.s. Gore Whore, take your harddrive to a computer specialist and you'll probable be able to retrieve most of your data, chances are it's your mother board that's gone bad.

On my case, it was worst: My partition had crashed when I was mergig two of it. So it splited the files (like a CNS file was half CNS, half....JPEG, for example).

I've gone thru that aswell, its a major downer but eventually you start getting everything back little by little.

yes it is a major downer I remember when this happened to me, just take a lil break and soon enough ull start to find ur self missing all the new stuff, sure I still don't have near as many characters as I used to have but these new ones are still god dammed fun.

DAMMIT!!!

That happened to me in 2005 with an old P.C. Motherboard had gone bad.

That P.C. worked fine, but now it's dumped in my dad's shed.

Feel free to ask anything for help.

wow this has never happened to me well i guess u could say it did when i got my hard drive cleaned out but i didnt really have all that much mugen stuff anyways i would hate to be in ur situation right now though.

just becuz your cpu cant turned on doesnt mean you info is all gone. just take ur harddrive out and put it in someone elses computer and all ur stuff is still there. if it cant be turned on, probably it is the components in the computer or something in windows is damaged. that has nothing to with the harddrive so ur stuff is still there. and even if stuff on ur harddrive is erased...there are many programs to bring back deleted and reformatted stuff. thats why should should never sell your harddrive becuz even though u delete stuff, it is still there. active-undeleted is just one of many programs you can use to bring back deleted data. but u will need to harddrives for that cuz youre not supposed to bring back the stuff on the hdd that u got the info from, keeps deeply stored files from being overwritten... so there ya go. 10 dollar bet u still got everything on that harddrive. dont even ask a cpu shop cuz all they say is re-install windows. thats there solution for everything. but before you reinstall windows....get that stuff off your harddrive 1st!

and yes it happened to me once before and the stupid cpu fixer guy reinstalled windows when i didnt tell him to. lucky those programs gave me back everything i lost 97 percent of it. only about 5 mugen chars didnt come back right and thats not bad considering i have almost 200.

(Bold) O RLY? Do you happen to know if deleted large files (about 2 GB) are able to bring back with that program you mentioned? I might consider getting it if I ever have any important deleted files to recover.

This happened to me a few months back . My harddrive died & then the comp died also . I retreived what i could ,but lost

. My Doomsday WIP was pretty much gone . I was going to start working on him again , but " mugen things " happened .

So you are not the only one this happened to . I built a new comp & started back up .

I think it actually pushed me to create something better . Medieval Spawn is going to be a much better character than Doomsday ever would have been .

As for the characters/stages you lost ? Start frequenting the request threads & makie known what you are looking for .

lets just say all my roms, isos, h-games (

), everything came back 97 percent of it. a couple of movies didnt come back right but it was like 4 movies that came back incorrect. try at least 3 of the data restoring programss one after the other. some may bring back things that other dont. it will take over 2 hours for it to be completed though so u gotta find something to do while it does its searches...

I lost it all last summer but luckily I backed up most of it on cd's. My computer froze and my hard drive was toast. I then brought a external hard drive and recommended everyone else to do so. I mean you can get 120 gig drive for cheap now. BTW the request section, database, and news sections are your best friends now. It took me a while to get almost all my stuff back so don't lose it!

Yeah the MotherBoard got fried. Same thing happened to me I took it to repair they told me the Mother Board was fried. I had two choices buy a new computer or buy the new motherboard. The repair guy said he wasn't sure so he said he might charge me.

. So I bought a new computer.LOLl, but I have a three year insurance so if anything happened to my computer they will fix it for free. I mean this can happened to anything at anytime. I was smart I went to BEST BUY and got me a USB Flash Drive 4GB for $35.00 just in case.

oh oh my turn. i lost all my characters when i was transporting them to a new p.c. a.k.a windows vista, EVERYTHING CRASHED, IT WAS HORRIBLE. @^@then i went and got windows xp and started over with characters that i love as if they were my children.

My Windows operating system was missing its CONFIG file, so I had to reinstall Windows, which erased everything that was on my hard drive.

So I decided to quit MUGEN and (try) to move on to more important things in life.
