girlfriend family situation(need some help on what I should do)

here's the situation.Im try my best to make a long story short.

Im 23 and my girl is 20.we been 2gether for a year and 3 months.we live togther.She even has my name tatooed on her back.She had a hard life,mom died when she was young and her father was abusive.She has a godmother though that she considers her mother and her fam.The problem is that her family dont like me(long story behind that) and the house is over crowded.Its basically like almost anybody can walk in and stay there.
Here's the rundown of people who live there,godmother,3 sisters age 20,18 and 15 all got kids.one of the sister's babyfather lives there,a recovering crackhead who is the mother cousin and also her ex boyfriend stays there sometimes.
also her babyfather friend who got of jail even stayed there one nght.
There's more to the story than this but its too much to explain.She goes about once a month.I told her I didnt want her going there too often cuz her ex be there and his freinds be there too.I have to questions.She wants me to visit her family.Should I go?if I do go should  I carry a knife or something just in case her ex tries to play some tough guy role.She said he be there with his friends sometimes so they'll probably try to jump me if we did fight.
Her fam lives in newark nj which is almost as bad as nyc.other question,I dont feel comfortable with her over there,but then again she gon feel like Im taking her away from her family.Its actually more people that live there than I mentioned but Im not gonna get into that right now .Its actually about 15-20 people.Should i try to stop her from going there or just let her go  over there

Asian-Jesus:From what I know he doesnt get along with his real mother.I didnt ask her why cuz I aint wanna hear too much about him.I guess its like his house almost so he brings his friends there sometimes.He dont live there anymore but he still visits.He's real cool with her mom.

Bloodninja:I told her but she said thats the only real fam she has.Her real mother(who passed)family is all messed up and most of them cant even get along with each other.She feels if she loses them(godmother family) then she wont have anybody except me.

Just don't let that guy visit her anymore. Bringing his friends over that's just disrespectful. Is she loves you then your all she needs she doesn't need her X coming over with his friends is he's her X then he has no business being there , he can be trying to  get your girl . also how old are you?

I would do that but its only 2 problems.One was that she made a deal with me where she spend thanksgiving with me and she spend christmas with her family.2,her family already doesnt like me so they gonna harass her and ask her why she leaving so soon and only staying for 2 hours.Then they most likely gonna put the blame on me,just off the strength that they dont like me.

nah its not her ex who was a convict.I was talking about her sister babyfather friend.Thats when I was mentioning(in my 1st post)that the house is overcrowded and almost anybody can stay there.Its like her godmother doesnt care.I mean its so crazy that if I brought you there with me,me and you both probably could spend the night over there

she only 40.another thing not only do her ex be there but her godsister babyfather friends be there too.plus one of her godmother's friend even tried to talk to her before one time.she had told me.its like its so crazy that she can call her godmother today and either new people is there,and then if she call again next week 2 people will had probably left and then they'll be another new person staying there.Read my 1st post for most of the story

nah all those people dont live with me.My girl lives with me but all those people live in jersey.I live in ny.I just didnt feel comfortable with her going there but then again I dont want her to feel like Im keeping her away from her family.if her family lived close by my neighborhood it would be a different story but since its a whole crazy situation over there,I dont know if I should go with her

Ill probably give it a try but Im not 100% sure if it'll work.The godmother would probably want me to come over there,which puts me back in the other situation.Should I bring a knife if her ex is there and he tries to play some tough guy role?She calls this dude her son,so I dont know if she gonna stop him from coming there or not
