are you joking me?

this is LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME

re-makes and re-boots, atleast ones that have already been made recently
been there, done that
are a complete waste of time.
the only decent re-boot i've seen recently is the Dark Knight films.

I think the atmosphere is great, and definitely want to see how it turns out. I am brightly optimistic thus far, and am unwilling to pass judgement before seeing it. unlike most morons.

Looking at freddy's face i am disappointed also if it doesn't have the original actor for kruger
also a minus but nonetheless i will end up paying and watching this movie just because, just because.

They're basing this on actual horror and not dark humor like before. Given that's the case, and Freddy actually looks like a burn victim now, this seems pretty interesting. Though, I gotta admit that what they've shown so far, it all looks like the same old crap, which sucks to say.

I say if they wanted this to actually have a much creepier feel and be much more disturbing, he should be going after little kids (like he should have all along) and not the same old teenager crap that are about to be adults.

We stopped checking for monsters under our bed when we realized they were inside of us.

The very first Nightmare on Elm street was good. Then once they got into the comedy routine they sucked to me.

Halloween reboot was good in my opinion.

Friday the 13th had it's moments, but not all the great to me.

I'll give this new Nightmare a shot when it comes out.

BTW zarro, he couldn't go after little kids. You can't show little kids getting killed. Why do you think when there were actually young kids at Camp Crystal lake ( pt 6 ) Jason didn't kill any of them. The tension was built, he was waking in their cabin & that one girl made some noise hiding under the bed. Good thing the counselor conveniently distracted him to come after her, so no children were slaughtered on screen. I actually thought that scene was pretty cool. Because you knew that they couldn't kill kids in a horror movie, but it was building like they were just going to do it anyway.

The fact that Robert Englund approved the casting of Jackie Earle Haley to play Freddy Krueger makes the choice all the more worthwhile.  Plus, JEH was able to portray Rorschach in Watchmen without messing up the character, so that's another plus for him.

I agree watchmen was good, but Rorschach made the movie for me. He did an incredible job with that role.

I have always been a very big freddy fan... i even got to see the very first one in the theater.

the thing i always liked the most about freddy is that he had fun when he killed you....

there trying to re-do freddy for the kids of today... the ones that have no idea who he is... or follows the old movies.

but when i saw the new freddys face... there was nothing scary about it... i wanted to give him some burn cream... not scream like a lil girl like i should be doing if he came after me in real life.

it is sad to say, i will go watch this movie..... because of the kind of fan i am....

but it doesn't matter what anyone says! there is only one Kruger! Robert England!

This is the kind of thing i'm talking about right here.

If you want to watch a movie, watch the original, there is no need to re-make these films, I just see them as insults to the source material.

There is always some defining part of a movie that is just completly lost in re-makes. its hard to describe.

i like the new concept and the new freddy, specially the talking through his closed mouth part, cus it makes you feel that his face melted from the fire.

ok You know Kai had to say somethin on this. Im a major Horror fan. Old school in that sense of the 80s.
This new freddy Cat jackie earle haley from the Watchmen (Rorschach) isnt intimidating enough for me to take him seriously as Freddy now *Iceman ThumbsDown!*.
Dont get me wrong the movie may be Intertaining with some crazy moments. But I do wanna check it out since i love horror but they coulda got some else :-w...

Per say..

Tobin Bell,

(the dude already looks d@mn there like freddy as a demonic burn victim haha)

Ever since other movies ive seen em in and then SAW hes been just creepy lookin ???. like you just cant trust this dude lol.
Although hes older,  He woulda been perfect for a new freddy for this flick. 8)

but hey thats hollywood :-??
