Large scale edits of Marvel villians
« on: October 03, 2009, 10:28:33 PM »
Since no one has made an edit of Apocablse, Galactus, and Sentinel where they are facing the screen, I took it upon my self to do so. What do you guys think?

I also have another large scale edit that is about 10x the size of Galactus,Sentinel, and Apocablse, but I'll post it later. And to tease you guys just a bit, the average mugen character is the size of my large scale edits foot.

I really like the idea.
The Galactus one appears to have more depth b/c of the ground style. It would suit fine a Baxter Building rooftop stage.
The Sentinel could perhaps be edited to Master mold too :)

These are pretty cool, man. Sentinel needs some work in the torso area as I don't think it really fits him as is. Galactus' teeth could also use some more detail because it looks kinda like a milk mustache right now. All in all though, good stuff and hope you make more big edits like these. :)

We stopped checking for monsters under our bed when we realized they were inside of us.

Thanks for the comments. I would like to add Galactus to a roof top stage, but I don't know where to find a suitable stage that fits him, so I'm open to suggestions, but I might try the baxter building if I can find it. The sentinel is a wip sprite right now. I actually intended him to be purple and pink (the original sentinel colors), but the color pink really hurts my eyes after long periods of time.  And originally I edited Apoc's body so that I could create the sentinel that Capcom should of created. And for Galactus, I do need to change his mouth, but I really don't care to much for adding teeth into the equation, because I suck at editing teeth, and because I'm so used to Galactus spewing comsic engergy out of his mouth (which I also suck at editing).

But I'll add my largest edit later.  ^-^ Here is a quick glimpse of how big my next edit is. This is a size comparison between Galactus and my next edits hand.

I think that adds depth perception.

Anyway, nice job on these Vitamin. You have pulled off something that many have not. It's tough to make these big edits. You have done well with these

While the sentinel has obvious frankenspriting involved, the Apocalypse and Galactus sprites are impressive.

Nice job on that.

1). The RPG stage is from Progear. The characters on the picture.....I really don't know.
2). There is no sentienl like that - I made a quick edit of Apocaplyse, changed his color, and added the sentinels head.
3). And Yes Darktal, my last large scale edit is MASTER MOLD. He's about 20x larger than the average mugen character, and atleast 10x the size of galactus. I'll post him on Friday ( College is my first priority).

are you sure its progear cause I looked that up and it was a side scrolling shooter that doesn't look anything like the image you ripped for the apocalypse pic.

Master Mold should totally be a Bonus Game boss, where you gotta destroy parts of him until you finally make him explode, starting from the feet up until the head ^-^

This is the website I got the sprite from:   http://spritedatabase.net/images/BGs/ProgearStage1.png . I never played or heard of the game before, but the website says it's from Progear.

And Master Mold would be an excellent secret boss type character for Mugen. I would love for OMEGAPSYCHO to make him, because he makes the best boss type characters.  Not only have I ripped/edited Master mold, but I also have a platform for the character to stand on while he rises to the top of the stage. I'll post it tomorrow, because I'm not finished yet.

The RPG characters are from: Hero of Allacrost. Just go here: http://www.devmaster.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6946

And here is my version of Master Mold

I kinda hate the way the face looks, but how many people have made a sprite edit this large before?

P.S:
this is off topic, but who is thrilled about NASA bombing the moon today?

I would like to have Master Mold as a bonus boss character, but I don't even remotely know how to make a mugen character. If anyone is willing to make him, I'll send you my edits of him. The head could use some work, but he has a platform for the characters to stand on (which is posted in the picture above his hands), he has hands to use, and he could be outfitted with a range of attacks.

But Master Mold would play great with the mugen character called SentAttack, which is basically a character similar to Rox howards clones, except with sentinels.  And with the platform starting at Master molds feet, you would have to survive long enough to reach the mid section of his body, while being attacked by sentinels, before reaching and attacking his "stomach?", or whatever it is.

Then when enough damage is done to it, the amount of sentinels increase and the moving platform decreases in speed- causing you survive even longer against the onslaught before reaching his head, while he is attack you with his hands, and the sentinels, and while he is shooting lazers from his eyes down on the stage, before you can attack his head.

Man that was a mouthful. But it sounds like a nice idea!

Here is what i mean...

That's what I am talking about. Did you sprite movement for his hands & such?

BTW where did that Archangel sprite come from?

Archangel came from Storm by Alucard. He's in one of her hypers called "Xmen helpers".

If Master Mold was ever a mugen character, and not a cheap sentinel edit, this would be one of his attacks. What do you guys think?
