The colors in your shading are too close to the brightest color.
It would look better with more contrast.

Or maybe thats just the hot pink background burning my eyes

very good man, really.. but more contrast for the blue color.. take a look at the stars on his shoulders, they don't look good...

i hope that you would make an entire char, not only a single frame.. (in this case make different hyper for this Cap)
