i propose something, when in a contest there are many sprites low-res, you should also choose the best one of them, in that way, it will be two winners in both categories.
 

well that`s an idea, maybe you should fix it a little more.

Yeah, I say allow both - personally I prefer the look of low res sprites, cvs sprites vs guilty gear? cvs every time!!
