So here's an interesting idea. If you were able the change who the console only characters were in SF4, who would you have picked?

You have seven slots to fill (Cammy, Sakura, Dan, Rose, Fei Long, Gouken, Gen). Akuma and Seth aren't replaceable because they were in the arcade version, and therefore aren't bonus characters, even if they weren't playable until console.

Characters have to strictly be from Street Fighter. No Strider, Rival Schools, Megaman, Slam Masters, Jojo, Ect. Final Fight is okay because it's part of street fighter. No Street Fighter EX, as those characters are non canonical and made by a different company, and no Street Fighter: The Movie exclusives, for the same reason.

My list is as follows:

- Dee Jay
- Dan
- Yun (Yang could be an alternate costume or something)
- Eagle
- Sakura
- Cammy
- Karin

The only one I'd really take out of that list is Sakura and replace her with Cody.

But if I had to change all 7 then:

anyone from SF3, cuz if this game is before SF3, Capcom needed to introduce some SF3 characters... i am not fan of Yang or Yun, but they are like the ones with more presence in the game... also, not fan either, Ibuki...
and maybe one or two of SF1 like Retsu, Geki or even Joe, cuz he's in SF2 into, so...

yun and yang should be in the game as Gen did teach the two brothers just like he did with chun li. and it would make since to introduce them now though they did make an appearance in the movie.

That's my list if I had my choice, yeah..all girls, I prefer female characters as I just get sick of all muscles in SF.

i disagree with Oro and Gill, cuz Oro first knew of the world tournament in SF3. And Gill... i don't know, he's the boss in 3, but remember this game is before SF3

Only 4 characters I would have added would be Karin, R.Mika, Deejay, and T.Hawk

but that's just me.

I'm perfectly happy with the roster besides that.

I wantsome more new characters, 5 just isn't enough, and 2 of those can be considered “joke” characters. Their sshould also be some SFIII characters, now would have been a good time to introduce them. I aint complaining though, I'm quite satisfied with the roster.

normally for my own sanity I try to ignore what you post, but I just have to bite on this one.

I don't quite understand how two of the characters are joke characters. I mean, obviously you're talking about dan, even though he can hold his own just fine, but who is this other supposed joke character?

rufus wasn't a bonus character. aside from that, people don't give him enough credit.
