so i made this thread cuz i wanted to know what are peoples favorite rock bands and why and to even talk about our favorite bands new albums  ect. so ill start

Im a big time Rock fan, some of my faves include Styx, Van Hallen, Garbage, Journey, and lots of others.
I like allot of stuff.

Not really into Kiss though, theres only like one song i like, and thats "God Gave Rock and Roll to You." Been a long time sence i heard it though, its on the end of the second Bill and Ted movie.

Actually, Ellegarden's sound is more similar to that of Blink 182's.

Actually, Ellegarden's sound is more similar to that of Blink 182's.

They Are From Chiba Japan they where influenced by blink-182 and sum 41
 
but i think there better i think my thoughts not bashing any 1 here =]

Man, that vid takes me back a bit. Always loved their lives shows with the old line up.

Current rock faves for me would be Nine Inch Nails, Disturbed, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Mudvayne, and more recently Avenged Sevenfold. Also enjoy early Rolling Stones. Basically, anything on the dark/angry side tends to work for me.

I've been listening to a TON of Mindless Self Indulgence lately, when I'm looking for something less serious. (No, they're not emo, so check that comment at the door, please).

Besides, I usually try not to pay much attention to the musicians' personal lives and let the music stand on its own.

  BTW, I haven't forgotten about that Little Nicky sprite. I just haven't come up with anything worth showing you yet.

yea ive been trying to do the sprite off fighter factory but i spoke
with spidermew on aim and he said use paint or gimp now i have to import

My mom wasnt into music that much, My dad's favourite band's were the Eagles & the Commodores. While rock is my fovourite kind of music. I like pretty much some of everything. My favourite country artists for exmple are Big & Rich and Trace Adkins.

You seem just a tad judgemental friend, and no offense but the Crue were no exactly great people, and were not the best band musically (especially Nikki, great guy though) Also they looked pretty girly, and feminine at times in their career, and to be fair were a bonified MTV top 40 band no if, an, buts about it. They were pushed in the public as much as a Justin Timberlake is today.

Maybe today people have forgotten about that, but the reality is they were pretty much just as annoying as EMO back in the day. I know I was there, and Glam was pretty terrible.

Dont get me wrong I respect them, and still enjoy the Crue, but you seem like your the pot calling the kettle black so to speak.

I used to like KISS when I was like 6 . They were like real live superheroes to me with that makeup .

As I got older I realized they really weren't that talented & just had a good gimmick .

So I moved on , My favorite became W.A.S.P.  Another band with catch phrases & a good gimmick . A little more mature gimmick though . Rats in meat Grinders , Girls in torture racks .

As I started maturing as a musician . I discovered what I consider to be the greatest guitarist of all time . Yngwie J Malmsteen . I had to play jusy like him !

Than the thrash scene came in & Testament was my favorite thrash metal .

Now out of the newer stuff I like Disturbed & Breaking Benjamin . The drummer of BB , Chad , I know personally . He told us he tried out for BB & he got the gig & we didn't believe him at first , until we seen him in the Diary of Jane vid .

I also like SIXX AM , 3 days grace , slipknot , saving abel .  There's of metal I like .

I have of cds , either real or burned . Like thoudands . I even have stuff like Bonfire ,  Riot & Pretty Maids . Some pretty obscure Metal from the 80's & 90's . All that sh*t is original .

Being a Malmstien fan I expected you to throw in Sabotage, Fates Warning, Crimson Glory, and Dream Theatre.

I dig the Testament though, the thrash days were my favorite era of Metal.
