He's the Joker of DDW's universe. Who can't love a character like that.?

i have a quick question about hypers.

is it a possibility to make one hyper that by doing the same command, for instance ~D,DF,F,a+b
you have a number of different animations possible

for instance,

at power>=1000 - the hyper is randomly either Dr. Bushroot or MegaVolt
at power>=2000 - the hyper is randomly either The Liquidator or Quacker Jack
at power=3000 - the hyper is Nega Duck when he stole the previous 4's super powers

he is a little rough but i like him

I do believe something like that is possible in code. I believe I've seen it in other instances but can't say for sure at the moment.

Anyways, Quackerjack (along with Mr. Banana Brain) look amazing.! Just perfect.! :w00t:

I agree! He looks great!
It looks like it would have been part of offical Disney artwork (if they went and made a fighting game that is)

Yeah, it is man.
You have to trigger it differently used the power trigger, just like you had it.

Is the size difference too much, i thought it would be but i put one of the villains in game and think it will work out with them being bigger, keep in mind that they will be used for hypers only and will be on screen 15 or 20 seconds tops.

im posting this because i tried spriting the liquidator smaller, and though it will be possible it won't look as good.
(the villains are complicated dudes)

Damn, even though the sprites look great on the villains, they do seem too big compared to Darkwing. I would say resize the villains, even though they will lose some great detail. Either that, or resize all of Darkwing's sprites, but I wouldn't go that route 'cause then he'd be bigger then a lot of other chars in Mugen and his size is perfect as is.

OHH MY GOD is all i have to say... :o

Well maybe not, Darkwing Duck i love this show when i was a kid...well actually im still a kid inside. ;D How does the theme goes again um Darkwing Duck something...something...something :D. Yeah man i hope you do a good job on this one and what style of game play are you aiming for, actually aim for DD's or Warner's style of play since they also made cartoon characters.

Are you planning on making other cartoon characters also or just him?

It should be 8 bit as you can only use 8 bit colors in mugen.

The Liquidator looks awesome.!

I would make his upper body a little bigger (more around the shoulder area) as I swear I remember him having a big upper body. Aside from that, perfect. :)

yeah these villains are just tests they will all be redone, The liquidator is weird about shape, because he is water the animators didn't care much about staying on model so sometimes he is really skinny and sometimes he is really broad-shouldered, when i work on more final sprites I'll post them and get people's opinions again about changes, but thanks

It should be 8 bit as you can only use 8 bit colors in mugen.
if i continue my current process of sprite creation, will i run into problems, because i don't really think its the "right" way, but seems to work so far.

process:

i use graphics gale to sprite, because i am on my parents comp without any major creation applications like photoshop,
in graphics gale i make sprites, and export them as bmp's, then in fighter factory i create a pallet using a sprite that has all the used colors and then apply the palette to all my sprites, making pcx files. from here i import them into my sff in fighter factory.

Portraits , intros & helpers can be on seperate palettes . But it seems like it depends on where they are placed in the sff file . Palettes are really a confusing thing . I really do not understand them completely yet .

LLM: Yes you will have to sprite in 8-bit as if you don't it will come out wrong and looking bad.

You could try gimp as it is a nice alternative to photoshop.

ok i found out how to change graphics gale to 8bit and all my sprites seem to be fine, i tried gimp, but i can't stand the set up, is gimp1 better than gimp2 cause thats what i got.  oh and mspaint is cool but i've found that graphics gale is like paint with better zoom, layers, and a way to see frames in series, which is kind of important when you are scratch animating/spriting if i was just doing edits paint would be fine be since its scratch i'm gonna stick with G.G. just cause im used to it now.

does anyone know of a good Palette tutorial or have a good knowledge of palette creation that could help me understand,  im kinda confused about how it works, especially about adding effects and stuff like that.
