Wow, like i can't believe people r still goin on with this topic... things ain't looking 2 good and right now,I agree with Sasuke-Kun.....   So for new people or people who r still argueing against this, read what he said one more time, and then, go and read what he said 5 more times... until it you understand.... I started this topic, but now i wish i wouldn't have... i knew people were gonna speak their minds but what i didn't kno was that people were gonna keep on posting after the topic had been dead for like 4 days between each other(Which of course they have a right to speak about this  topic if they want to, i'm just saying) And of course it didn't go as i thought, and i just wanna apologize for this.... So guys lets just end this, and pay attention to what Sasuke-Kun said below ok...

I'm really getting tired of all this useless conversation...

1) He (Or any other creator) doesn't need to keep any original standards made by the companies (Capcom, SNK, etc.) since he doesn't work for any of them and isn't getting paid either.

2) He doesn't care about a respectable position and getting or gaining fame in the community like almost all the drama queens that are out there on the same business doing it for this purpose only.

3) Maybe could be in his best interest to considerate other people bashing-feedback  but at the same time... It could be the inverse way too, and by that, I mean that other people bashing-feedback are not his best interests from what I can see.

4) The only reason to change the commands, combinations, etc. is very simple...
This is Mugen and you can have characters that will make a single-button Hyper if the creators want it that way and nobody can do anything about it!!! (Well... Unless you know a little bit of coding to change that)

5) Kong doesn't care either if doing all this changes on a character are innovative, confusing, annoying or complicated to do. (Refer to point 3)

6) Again... Is not 100% the creator's job or responsibility to make good or bad stuff since nobody is getting paid for wasting their precious freetime on this hobby!!!

7) If everyone already knows how Kong works are...
Then why the hell they keep downloading the same stuff with a different name over and over again? (Refer to KPT25 who quoted my post from the other page)

8 ) Finally...
If you want something perfect or aiming for accuracy then:

A) Stop leeching around and start learning how to code or create characters yourself to fix all stuff you doesn't like.

B) You failed completely on learning how to code or create your own stuff and you are still a leecher so... Limit yourself to leech only and stop bitching and moaning for the same stuff over and over again.

C) The same from the last point in less words: "Download, try the stuff and keep it or delete it quietly... Capiche?"

D) You are a creator who can make your own stuff or at least know how to code and fix the things you doesn't like... Stick up your nose in your own work and try to care of your own reputation only or at least fix the stuff yourself instead of bitching and moaning over other people works!!!

PS: This goes for all the leechers and haters in equality and not to a single person.

One thing I do have to say . Is Kong basically makes these characters for himself . He is just nice enough to share them with us . We should be grateful they aren't all private & most of you would be trying to trade for them on youtube like the are the Ark Of The Covenant .

I do agree with one thing . Kong does change the move commands from what we knew . It would be nice to have a read me file with the move list with the characters .

I'm basing this opinion from word of mouth, so if I need actual correction, do it.

While it *apparently* is nice that he share's characters and makes them for himself *allegedly*, I find it odd he would make heavy use of templates and rush a bunch of them out, while not caring to update them too much unless it "crashes mugen" and, from what I heard, doesn't listen to much feed back, as well as allegedly having problems that are consistent with most of his characters. I find it hard to believe that it's as cut and dry as the above quote puts it.

I know I haven't submitted anything beyond some palettes at the guild, but I have two unfinished characters that I would rather not rush out just because of promises of internet fame. Hell, I coded them both from scratch, and used other bits of code as references.

Also: What do you mean, "Most of us"? I'm no hardcore mugenite, and I dislike trading.

That's the thing, it is his choice if he wants to use templates and not listen to much feedback. I have to say this for the trolls, they IMO weren't trolling in the beginning, why would they? It is guy making a creation that in their opinion stuff that needed fixing. After awhile then they started trolling realizing that how it is going to be for the rest of the creations.  I do believe that there are problems with some of his creations hence why I won't download them. It is my choice as much as it is Kong's choice to release and not really update his creations. I am not gonna sit here and complain about creations that could be bad and download them, it isn't worth my time and it is stupid for anyone to download any creation they believe will be bad and test it out. Basically if I know there is a piece of crap in front of me, I am not gonna sit there eat it and say "this is a piece of crap". No duh it is a piece a crap. You kinda want to avoid eating pieces of crap. I mean Kong doesn't have to adhere to any standard but his own and it is us who have a choice to download it or not. People should know how a creator is after a x amount of creations on how he is and either go "damn this guy is good" or "what a piece of crap, i am not getting anymore of his stuff". Kong has released enough stuff to know if your mind that he is good or not. I just don't understand the trolling on his stuff due to the fact the amount of TIME you have to play with his stuff and type out things along with insults. It isn't worth the time to do it.

Opinions on what needs fixing? Sometimes what needs to be fixed isn't an opinion, but a fact. If I had a character I liked by constantly crashed Mugen, I don't think my complaints would be purely opinion.

I'm "not worth it" indeed. I have only made one post, and I was merely defending myself. I did not expect to have to post anymore than I have already, but it looks like some people are attacking me and Kong's "haters" for the wrong reasons.

I'm mostly skimming through because this is too much to read over something so pointless. Once again, I am not the only one who dislikes Kong, nor am I the worst person when it comes to bashing him. Even so, I don't even know how he is as a person, I judge a creator by his work.



I will say this: there is something seriously wrong when even the new people in the community are telling you your characters feel nothing like the source. Accuracy is honestly the last thing Kong needs to worry about at this point. The keyword here is "feel." The characters don't feel as they should, period. I believe that is why many people complain about his works. Mr. Fong's and Phantom.of.the.Server's creations are not accurate, but the characters feel like they should. Kim feels like Kim, Ryu feels like Ryu, and so on.



Furthermore, if you want to go for something different, then why label them as MvC2 or Warzard or whatever the source is when they do not feel even remotely close to the source, let alone accurate?




Learn your terminology, accuracy != feel. I enjoy quite a few inaccurate characters because they FEEL like the actual character.








I could care less about Kong himself, like I said, I judge a creator by his work. I have no problems against Kong personally because how he behaves is none of my concern. I would say the same thing if it was anybody else who was doing this. What I have a problem with is people defending such things using broken logic.

Kong doesn't care. People will bee-otch and moan just to include themselves in a crew to feel like they are cool. Same thing happens in high school.

I have seen so many shoto clones come out and crappy creations come out from posts at the Guild (um.. Oohwhap's Pico) and characters that don't jump, like KFM's Hashimoto, or Pesoguin by Geo Cloaking at MUGEN China (yea.. some of you are going "who?") but I don't see people bitching and moaning about those.. know why? Because Kong is an easier target, he releases popular characters from popular games, and is still actively pushing out what he loves to do. Notice, Kong does not go out to other forums to announce his releases. Even after my attempts to get MI and MFG to stop announcing his works, it seems that they take pleasure in seeing multiple thread discussions about it and frankly, if you look at it from a webmaster standpoint, it generates their respective forums traffic. So ironically, they all love Kong in the long run.
