WIP load problem "assert Failure in spr-lib.c line 560"
« on: June 19, 2008, 06:27:00 PM »
When I load MUGEN, it says "assert Failure in spr-lib.c line 560". What's wrong?
I'm loading Mugen Debug and select my W.I.P character, I get this message
"assert Failure in spr-lib.c line 560"
and then it closes. Something happened in the SFF in Fighter Factory, and I lost some sprites. I replaced them (NOT with the same groups numbers though) and I loaded and this is what happened. The message only comes up when I select my WIP, not before, not after.
Could it be required sprite groups?

Your sff is corrupt and now you have to start all over again.

Trust me, that happened to me when I replaced one of my v.ken sprites.

The problem happened after I removed a linked sprite.

After that my sff got screwed up and I couldnt load it anymore.

Best thing to do is open it up with Fighter Factory, save all your sprites to a folder and re-add them to a new sff.

Its sucks I know but their is no way around it..

Yes there is. just export your sprites from fighter factory into a folder. a cfg file will appear in that folder with them. open it up with notepad and disable the linking of sprites from that one sprite that u removed... after you do that open the config file up with fighter factory and resave it as an sff.

I got an error like that when i tried to turn the mugenguild speed code into a slow code. so errors like this can come from coding too!
