WOW, where to start. Ok, first off I thought Boon said that Armageddon was the LAST on in that storyline and that the next would be with new characters and such? Anyway, the game looks AWESOME. It movews MUCH more fluidly in 2D while still retaining the gameplay/moves/feel of the previous 3D entries (or so it seems to me anyway...ex. the freeze animations of Sub-Zero's victims is the same as in the 3D games). It looks like they are taking a little bit different approach to fatalities or something, not sure exactly what it is but it looks like they are done differently than the traditional "FINISH HIM!"...well to me anyway. Also, anyone else notice Nitara and Tanya (I think it was the 2 of them) in the background of Shao Kahn's throne stage? Looks like they are his servants or something now. All-in-all I say this is looking to be an A+ game in the MK series again...and we all know it has needed it for awhile. I wonder how far our they are gonna go with the character lineup...and anyone else surprised there is no Liu Kang? Does this mean that this will be a sequel to Armageddon?

Finally appears that I'll be able to be a proud MK fan again.   If the trailer is any indication, MK will be restored to it's former glory.   It's been needing a game like this for a while now.   So here's hoping the trailer isn't a smoke-screen and we actually GET what we see... and not a bunch of broken promises.

I had also heard that Boon was planning to make Armageddon the last game for like 95-98% of the previous cast and was going to start fresh with new faces.   However, since there seem to be a boat load of returns... Sonya Blade had better be in there.   As well as Stryker (What can I say?  I actually liked the things they did with the character for Armageddon. *Shrugs*)

Bottom line:  I'm lovin' What I see so far and cannot wait to see more.

It looks to me like a reboot of the franchise, which is exactly what needed to be done.  It looks like all the classic characters are in it, so I'm sure Liu Kang will be in.  If you notice during Mileena's fight, they're fighting in Shang Tsung's palace from MK1.  Hopefully we get to be the old man Tsung, cause I preferred that look to the younger one.

Well Lui Kang Is Dead After The Stuff In Deadly Alliance but It Looks Like This Takes Place In UMK 3 or something look at raiden and the stage with shaoK, Maybe Lui Kang Will Be Back and as for the Part With The Hat And Subzero Ouch that hurt me. haha

Looks like this could take place after Armageddon too, you can see Kira in one point, in Kahn's Arena.

No he dead. Raiden rose his body so he have one loyal comrade. his body is basically being controlled. he soul and body are not one until the end of the the game that being in his ending him and his body are reunited as one.

Actually it was the end of Deception... that's when he was undead, and then he was in armageddon but didn't have full control or something like that.... I think his soul is there though...
