Noob's first character Fallout

Hey theres everyones making character for mugen and what not. I mean thats what this site is based on it a mugen site. Well anyways here my question: where do yall get yall sprites for editing? I know some use motion capture from tv, other the same form videos. to my knowledge can't find full sprite sheets online, thought the internet you find any thing?


P.s. Yeah i post somen in the request lot. I just want to know the different methods peps use for obtaining.

peeps jus rip them from games and ask other authors for permission

There are several places that offer open-source sprite packs for use for Mugen projects. Here's a useful one:

Places like Mugen China offer useful sprite packs as well. The other method is to rip them manually from the game of origin. Usually, this involves taking screenshots of the game runnin in an emulator with a screengrab program like animget. Several emulators offer helpful tools in this task, such as background and layer removal, so you can get the character's sprites only.

ZSNES and WinKawaks are the emulalators that come to mind that offer such a feature. (ZSNES runs SNES games, while Kwaks runs cps1 cps2 arcade game roms).
