Cartoon Network vs. Nick Project
« on: January 09, 2008, 03:51:54 PM »
If anyone remembers, I had an old topic of this, but this has some thing else: We are recruiting! I have a basic roster somewhere, and this the screenpack layout:
y=box
x=portrain

 y y y y  y
y           y
y     X     y
y          y
  y y y y

But in a circle, and there will be one on the left as well
Left: CN
Right: Nick

Each char has a counter. EX
Ben 10 vs Danny Phantom
And most have a secondary character (character from the same series, either villain or ally)
Kevin 11 vs Future Danny(undecided but probable, compared to other choices)

Also: Gir and Zim are farthest along

So what do you need to do to join?
You must:
1. Sprite or help sprite
2. Code or code help
3. Lifebar, hitspark, etc. designer.

What sprite style are you using? What's the roster? How many characters?

I'd like to help you here, as I'm a cartoon dude, but I need some info.

I sprite, by the way.

Courage: Are you kidding? OF COARSE!
Characters: around 15 is what I want it to be on each side.
Style: Not too much detail, a lot like the cartoon style of the show.
Roster: If you can give a decent char within these rules and it doesn't go too high on the quantity basically it is request with a few essentials:
1.Needs a counter part
2.Has to be similar in ways explainable
3.I don't count adult swim as cn, sorry
4.no anime, I love it, but I want to do the cartoon people
5.Limit 2 chars a series (with occasional exceptions)
Confirmed:
Gir vs. Billy
Zim vs. Grim
Bugs Bunny vs ?
Daffy Duck vs. ?(maybe Squidward?)
Bloo vs. ?
Spongebob vs.
Patrick vs. ?
Courage vs. ?
Timmy vs.
Jimmy vs.
I had a full list but...I lost it :-[

Edit:And YES there will be a cool boss (secret)

Looney Tunes aren't CN so I took them off the list. This is only the list I would personally use. Avatar isn't anime, by the way.

GIR vs. Billy - Zim vs Grim
Spongebob vs. Bloo - Patrick vs Eduardo
Courage vs. Rocko - Catz vs Ed Bighead
Timmy vs. Eddy - Crimson Chin vs Ed
Jimmy vs. Dexter - Cindy vs Mandark
Juniper Lee vs XJ9 "Jenny"
Samurai Jack vs - El Tigre
Blossom vs Danny Phantom - Him vs Ember
Numbuh One vs Otto Rocket - Numbuh Three vs Reggie Rocket

32 characters. Juniper, Jack, Jenny and Tigre are only one char to a series to represent more series and add more variety. Some characters, such as Dexter wouldn't be on their own. For instance, I've always imagined Dexter using a mech similar to the one he used in the dodgeball episode. Here are my reasons for each pair.

Idiot Sidekicks - Unwilling Heroes
Sporadic Actions - Large Dimwits
Cartoony Anthros - Respective Enemies
Externally Self-Centered - Strong but not bright
Genius Rivalry - Rivals of the Geniuses
Female Heroes
Pointy-Object Heroes
Super Heroes - Super Villains
Unorthodox Equipment - Unorthodox Equipment

Couple of problems:
I have some stuff already for Ben and Kevin, so they can't be taken out.
I am not sure about Ed Big head and Rocko...I think Ren & Stimpy should be in there, Ren vs Courage= Dogs Stimpy vs Katz=Cats
I hate XJ9 and Rocket Power characters but if other people like them enough fine...but then I want 3 separate people to say yes to them then sure.
I wanted the 3 eds in some way. Maybe:
Eds(team) vs Timmy - Crimson Chin vs Rolf (still makes sense; 3 characters [Timmy, Cosmo, Wanda and Ed, Edd, n' Eddy] in a single char - strong but not too bright(or is Rolf simply ignorant?)
And: Ren and Stimpy are needed. Period. Maybe a PTM super?

And thanks for reminding me Warner Bros. = Independent

I wasn't too keen on Rocket Power, but I couldn't think of someone else. I imagine Double D being a striker o-O

GIR vs. Billy - Zim vs Grim
Spongebob vs. Bloo - Patrick vs Eduardo
Courage vs. Ren - Catz vs Stimpy
Timmy vs. Eddy - Crimson Chin vs Ed
Jimmy vs. Dexter - Cindy vs Mandark
Juniper Lee vs XJ9 "Jenny"
Samurai Jack vs - El Tigre
Ben 10 vs Danny Phantom - Kevin 11 vs Ember
Numbuh One vs Otto Rocket - Numbuh Three vs Reggie Rocket

Eh? Maybe instead of the Rockets we could have someone from Rugrats?

Edd: I guess but, maybe also a super or 2 along with strikers (probably 1 for Ed and 1 for Eddy) So then sure.
Rugrats: Sure! I grew up on them!

Oh and for observers here is something for sub boss for CN
Hint: Mysterious eyes.

The only person I can think of with Mysterious eyes in CN is Aku from Samurai Jack.
Since you have light blue as the color, the only other person I can think of is Bubbles...

SS, hope you don't mind me posting this.

Which version of the Rugrats you guys like more, All Grown Up or Babies? Don't worry about fighting abilities, just tell me which one you like better.

Babies.
New site, but it seems it has a weird glitch, stopping people from seeing the pages except the stages...which isn't much good
