I have a copy of it for my PS2. My room-mate and I play it all the time.

Here's a little hint: When you're playing, don't just use your right thumb on the four buttons; place a few fingertips on the various buttons, like you would if you were playing it in the arcade.

The Soul Calibur engine was designed with arcade play in mind, and as such, a lot of the button combinations are a pain in the butt to perform with a single thumb. I've found, since re-positioning my right hand, I've gotten about five times as good at this game.

Go through the tutorial with ur favorite char.  That should definetly help u out.

first,you need to beat her in tales of souls mode and then you will unlock "beloved" in soul arena there you will have a "boss" encounter with raphael and amy,after that you will unlock her

my fav chars are mitsurugi,zasalamel,KOS-MOS (actually she isnt in this game,but you can have all of her suit and hairstlyle ),talim, sorta raphael,
and nightmare

My best are Sophitia and Cassandra, my favorite is Talim, and I hate what they did to her in SCIII, a total nerf job

Soul Calibur 3 wasn't that good of a game and was way too unbalanced. I'd rather play SC2, but I think the first one was truly the best. I just hope SC4 has balanced gameplay and all the unnecessary gimmicks are left out, I mean the create a fighter mode and various weapons just aren't needed and will only serve to unbalance the game. They need to go back and see what made SC1 so great and take the series back in that direction. SC3 lacked that arcade feel to it which is a bad move on Namco's part. Now as for characters I like to use regardless of which game I play, I use Nightmare, Ivy and Sophitia.

I thought the weapons were cool because you could turn off the effects in SCIII, if they did it like that, that would be ok because i liked the cosmetic changes of the weapons.

Also, about the guest characters, that was ok too IMO, I just wish they would put Lloyd into SCIV instead of that dreaded SC Legends.

SC Legends looks like it will be a cool action game actually, but I think it's unfair that Wii owners are getting that and not SC4. I mean I don't see why Namco couldn't have put SC4 on Wii too so gamers don't feel left out.

it's the curse of developers wanting to use that dreaded controller. But you have the Classic controller and the Gamecube controller, so I don't see why they couldn't put it on Wii with downgraded visuals.

Yeah, I'm surprised that companies are even willing to make games for Wii. That remote is just too weird and dumb to use for games. I really wish all Wii games could use the classic controller as an alternate solution. SC4 could just use that and play just fine, although the graphics wouldn't be as good as the other versions since the Wii is nothing more than an upgraded Gamecube. I also think SC4 should be put on PC too.

Thats why I like it.  The unbalance makes it challenging( or fun if ur me)
