Spirits within is actually a good movie if you sit back and understand the story.

I don't see why it shouldn't be named final fantasy though, each final fantasy game didn't really follow a trend and all had different setting IMO except X and X2 for the ps2.

I think many were expecting to see it based off of a game that was already available but Spirits Within, to me, was probably ahead of its time.

Nothing in spirits within reminded me of Final Fantasy.

No bahamut, no summons of any kind. No chocobos. No magic sorcerers and such. It just felt like another film with Guns and ghosts monsters. Where as Advent Children not only had the characters, FFVIIAC also had Bahamut, they had a reference to chocobos, they had a moogle doll which is an obvious reference to the FF games. I'm rather glad that all the characters died in the end of Spirits Within.

I'd have to say though the worst movie I saw was SMB. I mean come on. Yoshi just a miniature T-Rex.

Which Final Fantasy movie? Advent Children or Spirits Within? I actually liked AC.

I say FF Spirits Within.

AC Had some pretty cool action scenes whereas SW had some boring shooting at some Ghost like monsters.

My 2 fav's are Silent Hill and MK.
I know why the reason Pyramid Head looked different in the movie. Apparenlty everybody sees Pyramid head differently. In Silent Hill Origins, he appears as a butcher that instead of a sword, has a butcher knife and instead of a pyramid for a head, he has a normal skinhead, but he has a pyramid looking mask to cover his face.

Actually Mortal kombat Annihilation wasnt really a bad movie.If I remember it also stayed true to the game

Spirits Within was a Beautiful Movie. I mean It looked incredible too bad they had to ruin it with that Voice acting and a "plot". It was missing so much we expect from Final Fantasy. Not just swords and magic, but the melodramatic and flamboyant characters that make these games great. Now Advent Children was a Final Fantasy Movie. That said...
The Super Mario Bros. Movie was the worst movie adaptation I've ever seen. I love Nintendo and Mario, that garbage was neither. It seriously did to Mario what Philips did to Zelda.
