This has massive chances to be worse than Apocalypse. And Apocalypse was pretty bad.

I agree. Even if I am an X-Men fan the story is not good. I only like that they used costumes even if they look a bit crossdress.Wished they focus on the Comics direction eg Hellfire Club, Shiar etc!

I hope it's not as bad as Apocalypse was. The trailer doesn't look half bad to me actually.

My thoughts:
Well no Wolverine and Jean love story, that's a plus.
I see Magneto shoe horned as always into the story again, that's a minus.
I see space, that's a plus.
Didn't show the couple new mutant's powers in the trailer, that's a minus.
Actually no Wolverine this time is a plus for me.
A Beast that can chance back to normal again, that's a minus.
The actress that plays Jean just gets hotter and hotter as the years roll on. That's a plus.
Wheres a new actress to play a new Rogue? That's a minus.
Night crawler is there maybe he'll be useful to the plot and have a larger roll this time.. Hopefully that's a plus.
The Visor Cyclops has looks cool. That's a plus
Bright yellow uniforms, well more design then the old leather but give us the real costumes after all these years. That's a minus.

Looks like I'm about 50 - 50 actually.

I hope they use some of the actual Dark Phoenix story line from the comics.
Hopefully the movie is good and Fox doesn't screw up it's last X-Men movie and ends it all on a high note.

Edit:
Why is Mystique on the good guy side now in these newer movies? Isn't she always the villain in the comics and games?

I heard Selene Gallio will be in but I dont know if they will connect her with Hellfire Club!!

Maybe I should have just said give me the costumes from the Old Fox 90's cartoon. That's what I think of every time I hear X-Men.

I also just wanted to add that I'm not hating on Magneto, I like the character. I just feel like they always include him even if they don't need to.

I agree maybe in the end we will see the 90s costumes! Btw can someone guess who is the mystery blonde lady who is manipulating Jean? At first they said that it could be Lilandra cause she is an alien however I doubt it!

Of which was a gutted shell of the comic

After it was toned down for the TV show

And had to cut it's budget in other arias

Because 'others' (who should never had been cast) wanted more money

Which put another "feminist" on the map, when she started accusing the cast and crew of "sexual harassment"

So, its a diluted version of a neutered work. Further desecrated by the egos, apathy, complacency of the production company and stars trying to use it as a platform for they're personal agenda

I wish they'd leave the Phoenix storyline alone, since they can't do it right...
Anyway, I think the blond is Emma Frost/White Queen, especially since she seems to be trying to manipulate Jean.

That would probably be much better, but the blonde is an alien shapeshifter. Played by Jessica Chastain and is an original villain for this film, although she is based on a combination of other marvel characters.
