Wow, that's kind of disturbing. Production quality is very high, but this isn't my cup of tea. There are some interesting ideas here, but IMO trying to make MMPR dark and adult, just doesn't mix.
I really liked what they did with certain characters. Zack is a TV/Movie action star (love that shot of him practicing with the kung fu machiwara). Billy is pretty much Tony Stark. Those are awesome ideas.
Now imagine if they had got all the original actors to be in this fan film instead! That would have been mind-blowing. Why doesn't someone get the original cast together and do a little web series or fan film!?

My first impression about this short film was that MMPR is not really a dark adult type thing to do. All though they had good ideas and it wasn't all that. If they had the original actors then maybe it would've been more believable. The way it was made was really good though with high quality film and bad words and blood. Pretty cool over all but still need more work and please for GOD sake don't use that techno club type music. If they remake the song it should be similar to the original one but without now a days club dance type music. Peace

i don't mind the adult themes (especially if they are bringing back Kimberly and they get down to 50 Shades of Pink business)

The costumes were the best

I'm sure JDF wasn't in it because it would be a breach of his contract since he has always been working for Fox and Saban and there is a new movie coming out soon.

Who was Dawson playing though? I thought he was Billy at first.

Thought this was interesting, didn't really like it! Great quality for the most part it seems the costumes suffered the most from budget, or a poor fabricator. I think they crossed some lines by putting the original actors real life aspects to the characters like Billy being gay and Trini dying. To me the story seemed thin, relying on Tommy being the be-all end-all Ranger.

No matter how you put it, this is probrably a franchise where most creative people have their own take on how the original rangers should be handled, not everyone is going to agree!

Definately interesting though nice find, thanks for sharing!

Dawson was playing "Rocky", the second RR. The guy who married "Kimberly" for like 8 seconds was "Jason", the OG RR.

I totally agree with Jason David Frank. Love what he said there. That's what I wanted to convey in my original post. It was going against the MMPR brand.
I'm still hoping for a MMPR cast reunion web series or short film. I mean, they're all around now; they're online, at different cons and really embracing the MMPR part of their lives. It's not like they're nowhere to be found or hate MMPR. One of these days!!!!!

i aint gonna lie the fan film was tight but some say good things about it (amy jo johnson,Steve Cardenas) some say bad things about it(saban,Blake Foster)

and once saban saw it he was pissed and he want that video removed

but other then that its a non profit project meaning they make this with no money involved and we didnt see or use no ranger footage or other stuff from the series to this adult fan made film itself,so like Twinimage i like to see the real original rangers do a fan made web series/movie too i hered Blake Foster is making one and with the MMPR web series coming,Power Rangers:Zeith & zordon of eltar coming i do not want these fan made projects to be gone

Man, I watched a little first parts of it, but now that it's gone, I missed my chance to watch it. Too bad the film was taken down but I agree with everything that Jason says. For those who grew up watching the original Power Rangers, yes, that had us like it when we were kids. I stopped watching the series around 2001. I wanted to watch it so bad.

I think Saban wanted it down because of the adult content. Even though I didn't like the film, I do think they had every right to keep it up there, just mark it with an age restriction like some vids on YouTube.
It also may have been the fact that it was so professional looking that it seemed almost like more than a fan film. But it was a fan film none the less. It would be like Capcom telling everyone to stop making Mugen Capcom chars.

Oh Dawson was Rockey, I was wondering who he was suppost to be.
Well that was nice and bloody wow. I enjoyed it. I never expected to see anything like that. Very high production value.
