More on the Next Gen PS4 & XBOX systems

Ok we all know these days "Rumors" in gaming usually turn out freakin true 90% now so im not gonna sleep on anything im hearing right now on these two systems. Im waiting anyway to see how everything goes. I been stopped getting first gen release systems anyway.

Ill share something with you all that i experienced last week that was pretty freakin stupid and it truely made me realize how stupid needing online ALL THE TIME to play a console game even more so.

What Game?: DISHONORED

I decided to jump back into the game since my internet was off for a few days while i was in the hospital at the time. i missed a payment. Anyway since i was offline i got into my game again and due to my freakin surprise i couldnt LOAD or CONTINUE from where my last save was which was pretty freakin far ahead. the area i was last in required some NEW update ONLINE to work ....yes I was blocked.....i thought i was buggin out when i kept seeing the alert message....so i had to wait till the weekend JUST TO PLAY A OFFLINE GAME to work again . feel where im coming from?? imagine having to go through that on a rainy or snow stormy jacked up weekend? youre home, bored and in gaming mode and you cant play your new xbox system because verizon or optimum online is having issues and the internet will be out for the weekend?..OR you cant afford the internet service at that time? The light bill is more important than the net obviously


So nah thats BS i rather not deal with. so i hope it aint true in the end about that system needing online access all the time...
its a stupid business idea. the whole non used games deal is already poison

If it turns out to be true, I'm gonna be honest, I'm just flat out not going to get one.

My problem is that once it's no longer supported, it'll become nothing more than an overpriced paperweight.

I can still fire up my 7800, my Nintendo, my Genesis and my PS1 and still play any game that I have on them. The new XBox won't be able to do that.

Essentially, you're no longer be "buying" games, you'll be buying the license to play a game until it's no longer profitable, then poof, nevermore. Nope, not a subscriber to that channel sir.

  thats what me and my Friends call it....Yeh a lot of folks thought EA was playin and the trend wouldnt catch on with the whole online pass needed deal...

My friends who was so into game fly or borrowing  everybody elses games was pissed when games like BF3 and MK9 dropped and they couldnt play online because of it was "used" and they needed to buy the pass^^

as a pc gamer i've gotten used to no used games, but it's less of a thing anyways because 99% of games are downloaded
it's the ridiculousness of "always online", i've played my games in offline mode many times, save battery life, slow connection, no connection, refuse to pay at&t, or whatever

besides the consoles are generally marketed to lower income people (see a/v outputs for old tv's that wont even work as tv's anymore (atleast in the U.S.))

and thats the whole thing that grinds my gears man. I usually stay with a job to afford things but im no fool to know that sh*t can go bad or tank at anytime and either you dont have the money to keep your internet on for a month er so OR depending where you live your service is sh*tty as hell and always cutting off. where i used to live in brooklyn my Verizon service was sh*tty and ALWAYS cutting off. knocking me off line in game matches and all that. hella annoying man....so that only told me hat if i had to use the net just to play games then i guess i will be going back to my old games which i have no problem doing


and yeh man i totally already know about the who non used games deal with pc games. i have a lot of friends who are heavy into pc gaming. But that whole console bit with it is a sh*tty idea...the lead at Microsoft might as well start giving away a 1 thousand dollars to each xbox registered game owner for all that smh

I don't like the idea of my console always being online. For one thing, we don't have unlimited data plan, and the console will most likely eat that up.
Rarely am I ever sold on any next-gen console till I start to see a few worth while games that I'd really WANT to play. By that time, the console price will have come down significantly and a lot of the issues the console will face in the early stages of it's life cycle will have been addressed.
