Eidos president Ian Livingstone hinted that the next-gen Xbox console will probably require always-on Internet connection and will feature watermarked discs that can only be played on one console, effectively blocking used games.

This better not be a thing on the PS4. If it is, I may finally convert to PC gaming all the way.

Dont worry Shad Sony scrapped that plan. And I highly doubt Microsoft would do a dumb thing like that....they would lose money.

locking to an account is one thing, even though most people wont like it, some have gotten used to it, and it's not the worst thing in the world
locking to a machine would be crazy though, not letting people play their games at other peoples houses, or allowing for machines to fail (i've probably seen more broken xbox/ps than i've seen functioning ones)
that'd be a pretty poor move for a company

yep sadly it is. only thing different between sony and microsoft is sony will just be doing the NON used games BS. where as microsoft will be on that BS of Non used games and you MUST have internet connection in order to fully play your system^^

post a link on that source of sony scrapping that plan. i wasnt aware of them all of a sudden stopping that when they have been talking about that for the longest since 2009^^ If they did then thats a good thing

Well no because the PS1 and PS2 could be modified to play burned games, trust me I used to have a modded PS2

Thats a beautiful thing then....so i guess ill be getting that PS4....glad they cleared that up...how they let that Rumor linger was like if you rented a game or If you unlocked the game first on your system you couldnt take that same CD to a friends house so they could play it on their system....

well what they "Tried" to do. i still have my modded ps3 and that never stops mods from getting around stuff some how

But lets just say these days they are "trying" to turn up the heat on stuff like piracy and cut out the middle man like Gamefly and Game stop

this is a must have! so i pray someone decides to bring this back but dont totally change it but just improve on the already awesome formula and story with even better action!

Theyd have to do an HD remake of the last 2 though as stunning as they were though

that would be awesome indeed. watching in the one where the dad was fighting that dude and you could quicktime stuff.. was like watching one of those old school kung fu joints ! i was so hooked! they def need to step that up for the series if done again.
