Looking at this again that suit seems to be remotely operated and it attacks pepper because it thinks she is trying to hurt tony.

I can see him having to fight this suit at some point in the movie.

Tony will become Samus... Samus without boobs...
At least from what I've heard military forces developed nano-virus to improve performance of soldiers by regenerating 'em, but terrorists stole it and now using that virus for themselves. In order to fight them Tony uses modified version of virus and kinda merged with his suit in Samus' way.

The Iron Patriot suit is actually a revamp on War Machine...so Rhodey will remind us of Osborn in this movie
