Got bored. Made a Magma sprite

Smart Pal - Comics/Legends 1 pal - Evolution pal

Not gonna be a WIP, not gonna be a part of Project X (unless the PX peeps really want her to be), Just felt like spriting Magma after playing some Legends 1.

Hey HS. Nice sprite. Don't see many of Magma. Makes me want to play X-men Legends again!
I like the pose, who did you use as a base?I see a bit of Rogue and maybe a bit of Cammy

Just a few c+c's (and sorry if I come across too strongly, just want to help you improve overall)

The legs need a bit more definition, especially her right (our left leg). When drawing legs I always use someone else as an example to help me (I like using Urien personally for most references and just reduce the amount of muscles, helps that's he's pretty much naked)

Feet/shoes are very hard to get right from scratch and it's something I've never figured out how to do. I'd say use the feet from someone else, makes things much easier for yourself.

I softened up the stomach a bit and added the lower portion of her ribcage. With her belt that high it would cover her belly button and abs (I assume she has abs)

One thing that everyone always seems to add is the collarbone on her chest. It helps break up the empty-ness above her breasts as well.

I do prefer your face to my edited one, makes her look to old! Again mine is far from perfect but I hope it helps you in some way

Actually the base is Psylocke with 80% width and Cammy. And yeah Legends is still pretty fun. I'll probably go through Legends 2 when I'm done.



So yeah took the advice and tried to fix it. Clearly I can't sprite hair to save my life. Kept my face since you seemed to like it as well. And I hope you don't mind me shamelessly copy-pasting your boots.

Nice, I really like the fact you take my advice and don't copy it pixel for pixel and try your own version. Shows that you appreciate my comments and are trying to improve your skill  Looks much better overall and I hope you can see that and see what differences you made to help improve her
I did the same with Xfields. Looked at his technique and methods and tried my own spin on things. Helped me learn specific things (mainly that you can use anyone, and I mean anyone as a base, SF3 Hugo in Emma Frost for example......)

Boots on mine were a very quick fix, just found the first boots I could, old sprite of Talia I did I believe so feel free to take. I wouldn't offer support and advice if I didn't want you to at least take something

Hair is something I still find difficult. But I've learned that less is more sometimes. Only 3 colours is really necessary on hair like this (hypocritical of me....Ivy has 8 shades in her hair.....)

Thanks Dead. I do try my best to improve myself instead of copying-pasting from other base (boots being an exception). I will try and keep this stuff in mind for the future. Maybe will use it and go back to fix some Black Widow sprites (from my WIP) soon.
