I over the last 5 years I have used Photoshop, Gimp, Gimpshop, Infranview, PSP... you get the picture. I still don't know which is best for Mugen creation... anybody have any thoughts? What do you use to edit? I'm only asking because I've been using Gimp & PSP lately and they just don't seem to do what I want

I use MosWorkshop, though it seems to have a minor cursor issue on Vista >_<

PSP works for me.

Way more than MSpaint, which is what some people use.

maybe I just need to get used to PSP? I use version 7, I think that was the recommended version for mugen. I will check out MosWorkshop as well.

The Newest version of PSP Photo X2 is the best and very easy to use.

Infranview is a good one... just haven't installed it on this PC yet, I'm really thinking of re-adding my CS2 though... I just don't understand Paint though, it's really basic... I usually use that for screenshots

i have it but i really dont like it, i use PSP is better and easier to use.

I use PSP for everything, I have version 5 on my laptop because I'm a speed demon with it and version 10 on my desktop because it can do a lot more.

From my experience,

Paintshop pro 7 for character sprite editing.

Photoshop pro 7 and later for creating custom effects.

Particale illusion 3 for manipulation or customizing animations or effects to your liking.

well so far I have PSP 7, Gimp, Photoshop CS2 & MosWorkshop installed, I like hearing what everybody uses and it give me a chance to try out each app to see how it works for me... I just don't understand how M$ Paint is used...pretty basic, but I'll give it a shot. Also I'm gonna check out Particale illusion 3, I saw that and hundreds of ideas came from it!

well i just started with my first character but im using MosWorkshop. its pretty good tho and easy to catch on 2
