i gots to see what Enso does to the naga sprite i started. Slayers in the House!

i am workin on stance animations for Kanu and some concepts stance stuff for Spike and Afro. Still gonna put Elle from shadow skill together, i got the base i will use which is part cvs Cammy and another character for the legs and some editing on the arms of cammy for the more muscle tone.

my son is drawing out some sketch work for terry striker - his son, for me to get some bases rolling for to sprite him and use a lil maybe of his drawing for scratch work if needed.

here is the slight adjustments i made to fatal freaks and Taskmasters Tsukiumi sprite . garter belt fixed , strap on shoulder and waistline shading of the outfit and buit more shading on the neck collar.. still thinking of making the garter belt on the thighs more detailed.

first version ..then second version by me with adjustments

here is also the base test sprite for Yagyu Jubei of Jubei Chan anime, i wanted to get to see how she could look using cvs Hibiki . i done this a couple weeks ago and will be replacing the legs and editing everywhere and much more defined shading.

F**king smooth!!! I like the new sprites coming up. Silva's Lina crouch is cool! For Tsukiumi, I thought they look the same and the first time I saw her face that Taskmaster made, she looks more American than Japanese.

Got some nice touch-ups there with Yagyu Jubei. Haven't watch Jubei Chan though.

Lando, looks like you, me, and Silva, are now into Slayers.

I could palette-swap my own colors of Naga's skin, hair, and some, with the colors you provided. Lina's skin color looks too pale.

Did you say your son is drawing Terry's son for striker? I wonder how you guys manage to make a sprite out of him 'cause I had my brother draw Wesker (RE5 outfit) on paper so I made a sprite out of it last year. Still not finished with the Wesker sprite though. We originally planned to have Wesker as a Mugen character (mostly for CFAS), but later I dropped that idea. Even he did one boxer guy based on Lil Mac of Punch Out. I resized it to low-res style and had him add colors, but it was (almost) complete. Unfortunately, it was closed unsaved.

Judging by her hair, eye, and skin color, along with her facial features, I'd say she's American or European-Japanese. That may also explain why she speaks different than everyone else in both Japanese and the English dub. Although this is anime we're talking about, so nevermind.

omg i knew just what shadaloo was thinking too.

well as far as Tsukiumi in the anime she is basically japanese with a caucasian flair in hair mostly cause of the blonde and a bit skin tone. she speak old world japanese in the japan anime version but in english dub she speaks shakespearian. it was done so both ways to set her farther apart from the personalities of the others. she is more the Samurai ways and code she fights by. Yes judging by the sprite they done she appears more american -japanese which aint bad, mostly to make her fit more is just to change up her front hair bang, the rest is pretty on point. her look is fine with me and could even the hair changes up a bit to how it looks in the bang and thats really all. thing with her will be trying to get the water fx for her right.

that Jubei chan sprite will change up with the new stuff i am going to do to her in editing. new legs, better top shading and really fixing her hair as well. plus i am researching more on her height.

created a quick masane (witchblade) intro test base to work from for editing. lots to still do and make some changes like unfold her arms.

The top of her pants looks like it's going up over her waist. You just need to lower it down a little bit like the original picture showing. Plus, you need to lower the bottom of her shirt down a little. I see that you use Maki upper and Mai lower.

yeah enso and hypersonic you both are on point . i def seen the top pants issue and the tacky hair made real fast.

. her pants suppose to have the low riders style and plus bottom cuffs need to be made. i wanna look around to find better head for her as well as shade in better hair. boots too. i am also gonna redo her arms nd reposition them closer to how the pic is like so ican make good animation flow ( and expose her boob factor hehehe) for her intro transformation. i started to make base sprites first from other bases to get the look of the characters then go back redit to make more clean looking, thanx for pointing some stuff out bros.

edit.

i went back and did adjustments on my musubi using a bit taskmaster advice and using fatal freaks snk ish verion of her for referencing and colors. now she has base sprite stance i made to fit her from the show to animate from. few more shading tweaks needed and will be complete.

any good suggestions for base for afro samurai anyone?

Looking super weird on the boots! The top side of the boots shouldn't be straight. It has to be round in probably arcs. I don't know if you understand but by the look of it, it looks cut. Make it lil bit round. You should take a look at Wonder Woman for her stance and boots.

You need anti-aliasing on the skirt. It looks it has the brightest and darkest tones at the same time.

For Afro, why not take one of the Last Blade characters and/or probably CVS Todo for the body? I already told about the head suggestion before.

ok 3rd time.

. used one whole base for yagyu jubei this time. came out cleaner.

. now add sword, bow with ties add ponytails and touch in some spots need shading.

. spriting hair is a bi@tch!

I would say two if Terry didn't have the hat. I'm going to have to go with number one. I would suggest using the second one in intros, winposes, and such. For example, an intro with Junior where he's wearing the hat, then Terry comes in, takes the hat, and Junior leaves.
