I Pad Question?

I recently bought an Ipad at my local Apple store. During the same visit I put it down to look at somthing else and it was stolen. I ask Apple to trace it for me but they said that they coulndn't help me at all. I think that is bulls***. My question is, is there a way to trace it from my PC even thou I never opened the IPad and regsterd it?

are you serious? someone swiped ya goods and you didnt ven get to open the thing? aww man sorry hear that dude. from what i know about trackin stuff, ya usually have to set it  up first and ten if it gets used it can get the Ip number traced to where its being used . But since it was never opened then i am not sure whatcan be done by you or the store, heck or the police. Did yo get insurance on it when you bought it?


oh yeah side note too: i would thik the store could find it through a trace but that would call for a constant monitoring system for stolen IP's and depending on the store you bought it from would be if they had that kind of setup, te polic do, i know that for sure ut how long would it take to trace it... who knows. and plus do you even know its seral number and IP is another question to wonder.
