Its finally goin' down!!

I have had one person step up to the plate and has sprited a character in my fictional image.

The Jayden chracter project is now in the process and I'm looking for a lot of help in this development. He is the first original Kyo-Clone since Shingo that uses Water and Electic based attacks that are similar and original to mainly Kyo Kusanagi, Cody Travers. The sprites are being done by Axel Foley (big ups to the excellent work he's been doin'), but we really could use some expert in our first ever original character creation on this.

We're thinking he can definitely start out in Capcom vs. SNK 2 style like Warusaki3's Kyo. Then later, I would like to convert him into MvC, hopefully by asking the infamous R@CE45, SIC-1 AND INFINITEesome jobs that have been doing with their patches.

We can use the help on this awesome character, right now I"m making his move list as we speak, so if there's anyone who interesting in helping developing this character, please feel free to join in and give us and Axel Foley some feed back. This character is based off a fictional version of me so feel free to ask questions as well. I also have written a brief back story to him a while back. Check the link to read.

Are there any character creators out there who specialize in SNK vs. Capcom characters that are available for this project?

Sorry dude, but I have way too much on my plate and i won't be able to help you at all. I have my own stuff i'm working on and i have my own projects to finish, so for my team, and speak for Me, Sic-1 and Mr.Infinite when i say this, we are all busy.

So sorry, but we won't be able help you...Try asking other IMT members, i'm sure they can assist you....

I know you enjoy our work but you must realize we have our own game project as well, so its very hard to make time for someone else project

Its str8 guys, and I apreciate you giving it some thought as well. If you do find sometime to help in the future we'll still be more than happy to except assistance with this project.

As for anyone else out there, is there anyone who specailizes in creating Capcom vs. SNK characters?

Its more of Kyo. I was going for something original, but yet familar in a sense. (

) But he's no joke character, he's gonna be a full fledge warrior.

Sure, go ahead and give it a whirl. Axel Foley is the one spriting this character. He's the man who's in charge that part of the project.

Finished. Took all of about an hour, but I am very pleased with the outcome.

Notable changes made:

Hair fixed. I've never seen a haircut like that since my dad shaved the rest of his hair away. You looked like you were balding.
Pal changed. Darkened some colors, brightened others. I changed the gold on the wristbands to silver. I think it looks cooler.
Jacket changed. I decided to shade the inner lining. I like it better that way.
Dem Shoes. I WANT THEM.

Wow!! Not bad at all!! Pretty impressive! The changes are outstanding, though, the silver in his gloves I"m not feeling. I'm not to big of a fan of that color. I'm more along the lines of gold to be honest, but the job you did really looks great!!

The clothes are tight! Them shoes I would rock those everywhere I went. I would definitely pull a Goku and have multiple pairs of that outfit! (

) The hiar looks pretty cool as well. I didn't think he looked balding before, but I guess I don't have a good eye for detail.

Nice work man! An hour is really awesome time frame to get work done like this. You and Axel Foley should really work together with me on this project. I could use an extra hand here since its just me and Axel oing this.

If it's alright with Axel, I'm in. My easiest to edit sprites are CVS styled, so I shouldn't have much difficulty. At least, as far as I know.

Well I"m ready to unveil some of my notes for Jayden's movelist. Its been nerve wrecking trying to sit down and brainstorm ideas so I thought I share a few with you all. I've been studying the characters who influenced his moves such as Kyo, Cody, and Ryu and I think I may have come up with his own style. The moves with "

" just means I haven't figured out a name for the move yet (

).

1. Brine Upper – similar to Cody’s Criminal Upper, but with a water surge strong as a fire hose.

2. Surf Wave - a water projectile similar to Kyo's (EX).

3.

- Similar to Cody's classic Final Fight combination with electric effects.

4.

- Same as the 3rd move but with punches and kicks that require a different button set. This move uses water effects.

5. Dragon Discharge - Similar to Kyo's "100 Shiki (F, DF, D+P)

Well I"m ready to unveil some more moves that I've been planning for this guy to have. Its been tough lately with my personal life, but I've been jotting things down while on the move and staying focused on this project and hopefully soon, this guy will be making his debut in the near future. I haven't given up hope at all.

So here is a new picture I made along with a few new moves to go along with him:

Super Combos

1.   “Final Redemption” – a version of Cody’s Final Destruction
2.   “Hydro Cannon” – a powered up, chargeable version of his Surf Wave.
3.   “Rising Dragonite” – a powerful striking attack similar to Ryu’s Shin Shoryuken.
4.   “???” – a version of Kyo’s Final Showdown
5.   “???” – A kick combination similar to Cody’s Dead End Irony without the spinning kicks.
6.   “Imperial Submerge” – runs up to the opponent and incases them into a large sphere of water and makes it explode
7.   “Volt Cannon” – charges an electric sphere and launches it at the foe.
8.   “Almighty Shock Wave” – unleashes a wave of thunderbolts similar to Mega Man MvC’s super.
9.   “Brine Crusher” – summons a crashing wave of water on top of the opponent inflicting massive damage.
10.   “Brining Bio Strike” – transform into the Warrior of Redemption, Biospark and attack with a powerful fist thrust similar to Balrog’s super. And ends it with an explosive energy blast like Terry Buster Wolf.

Alright, I'm still working on new moves and new ideas to narrow which moves would balance him out, but right now I'm laso looking for more people to help with this character.

First of, is there anyone out there who is good and making renders and character potraits for original characters?

I was feeling a bit left out, so I thought I'd show something new:

This will now be the official stance for Jayden. The first sprite is before collaborating with Gatling Prime. I edited the headsculpt based on Gatling's edit and he did the colours. If someone could animate the stance it would be greatly appreciated.

What a surprise! You already have a stance for him already? You really kept me in suspense 'cause I had no idea where you or Gatling were on this project at all, but I'm happy to see that at least we now have something goin' for Jayden. Excellent work!

I can't wait to see what else you got in store for sprites. We all gotta keep in touch and close bases so we can get this guy up and fighting pretty soon. I've been dead focused on this even with my internet access.

Unfortunate news today, due to normal circumstances, Axel Foley had to leave the Jayden project for school. So, now I'm looking for a new spriter to help in the Jayden project.

Are there any spriters willing and commited to help out with this character? So far we have a fighting stance and GatlingPunchRalf has been doing an excellent job on doing the edits of the sprites as well.

Can anyone pick up where Axel Foley left off?

At the moment, I'm still working with the tutorials from SpiderMew to carry on the Jayden Project. I'm pretty much 90% done with his notes, and now I'm getting started on spriting the character using what I have from Axel and Gatling's edits. Its a tough call, but since its a original design and toon of my own creation from my own imagination, I have to see this through. I would hate to give up on him like my last WIPs of last year.

I heard a forum member say something that hit home and as painful as it was to hear it, it was the truth and I heard it again from another forum member here in another topic as well. So, I quote:

With that said if you want to make a project should be be able to program or sprite. If you can't do either then you're in a world of trouble because no one else will do the work for you.

I won't give up on him and I'll learn how to either code or sprite or possibly both. This character will get done even if it has to get alone.
