Fightpads // Arcade Sticks

So ive been researching these a bit since ps3 controller is just not good enough and id like to hear some experiences, the options i have are

Ive heard real good things on the fight pad but i dont understand how the d-pad on it is better than a controller stick, if i try to use dualshock3 d-pad i cant even pull hadoukens consistently. SE arcade stick is supposed to not have actual arcade components making it crappy and flimsy but if its "good enough" and most importantly a lot better than dualshock then ill consider it.

So, experiences, opinions?

Hmm.

I saw a couple fightpads at my local game store.
I dunno, I guess if your used to the control stick it's be harder, but I want one as I suck terribly with it.

Just get an SE and replace the parts, just as good as a TE.

i was never great on them joy sticks except consoles. The best ive ever played was in Kof 94....and i was sweatin up a storm tryin to get moves off. The cutom joy sticks im not gonna front do look hot though. If i had a choice id run with the Fight pads

Well KOF sticks and timing is harder waaay than street fighter, trying to get the moves I mean. (I Remember playing KOF '96 at a pizza place and failing hard )

yeh thats why my boyz way back were laughin after i beat this dude with Ralf.  i was playin pretty good for a person that sucks on the arcade stick ..luckily pullled off ralphs super too for the finish haha i was sweatin!

The cheapest youre gonna get for ps3 is the hori FS3 which is great btw its just as moddable. I picked mine up for 35 on amazon. One note is it does have a square gate so if youve never played stick it has a much higher learning curve. It pays off if your using charge chars (rog ftw) . Personally ive used the fightpad and its no better than the ps3 pad of course theres the advantage of the two extra face buttons but to me the FS3 is the same price and its way more worth it.

ya but, i live in mexico and although a few peeps do ship stuff here (not amazon) stupid mexican taxes make everythng retardedly expensive.

i usually solve it by  saving and going to the states, i was at sf last week but i hadnt done any research on fightpads or sticks yet and i regret that so much...., if i had i would have just bought it but now its going to be much more expensive (wont go abroad for about six more months) so i made this thread and ive been reading reviews and watching youtube demos to see if ts worth the money. So tnx for all the inputs so far guys.
