C'mon you know it was about time i started somethin again & i know there are a lot of horror fans here. My time era is the non CG era of the 80s. So yall know where my Mind & taste is at for movies these days.
Not all the remakes are trash but for the most part most nowadays are terrible.
But in short My fav horror directors are:
Wes Craven (nightmare on elm st)
John carpenter (Halloween)
Sean S. Cunningham (Friday the 13th)
George Romero (Dawn of the dead, Creep show etc)
Tom Savini (Remake of Night of the living Dead 1990)
Stephen King (The Cats Eye)
Sam Raimi (Evil Dead)
Fulci (great underated 80s horror dir Of "Zombie" aka "Zombi 2")
Dario Argento/Lamberto Bava (Demons 1985)
Joe Dante (The howling)
David CronenBerg (The Fly)
Clive Barker (Hell Raiser)
William Friedkin (the Exorcist)
Stuart Rosenberg (amityville Horror)
Just to name a few...Theres others though of course
For the new Gen thats been stirring up, Have potential or i just have been taking a likeness to now are:
Danny Boyle (28 Days later)
Juan carlos Fresnadillo (28 weeks later)
Alexandre Aja (French slash horror High Tension)
Rob Zombie (Halloween Remake 1)
Adam Green (Hatchet)
Dennis iliadis (Last House on the Left remake)
Bryan Bertino (The strangers)
Jaume Balaguero (REC)
Ok thats Kai's Taste in Directors. I like em for various different reasons & possible potential in new material that could be done. They also may have a good tastes or idea in putting together good solid make up teams, production or writers to polish the job. A great team & crew aisde of an obviously decent director always makes Any horror movie work. Not alone the no holds barred Rated R tag. And lets understand that "Gore doesnt always make the movie". It can either make or brake a horror movie. Too much can either make it too cooky, fake and wacky. Just enough can make it all make sense & make it a movie that will have you saying to your self "yOo that movie was crazy man..wow"...
I like when a movie makes me think like that or make me say "Hmm not bad...that director has potential"....
So thats whats what this Room is for. Talking about Horror movies in General. Old and new as a whole and sharing your thoughts on what youd like to see from any director or what youd do for a new kind of Horror flick

Anyway on my face book page ive been Talking with a few about the Demons 1985 remake. Everybody have their own views. Most of us share the same feelings on how the scoop is on where the movie takes place which is in Chicago. Already i dont like that idea but i dunno maybe the remake will be good. I wanna leave that theater saying "Wow...that was actually freakin good". Not many horror movies these have me saying that unless its real gritty and CG free. So this one particular movie has to work.
its the movie that got me into horror. Well, scared the crap outta me into loving it that is...
Demons 1985
I would post a clip but i think that would be a bit much for IMT standards here...its pretty graphic and gorey
So just use your imaginations from the lil pics here till u see the movie. For this time n age. still isnt a bad movie at all. 28 weeks later "Surreal horror" you can see maybe where the dir mind was at along with his roots. Id definitely put some passion into this remake if i were a director. it has to be dark, grittey Panicy, Intense, breathless, Frantic and Closed in where you hope these victims eventually get out of there and leave you yellin at the screen in all good fun.
