Yeah, I skipped buying SFIV because I wanted to wait for the upgrade, then I bought Super SFIV and of course they go and announce SFIVAE. I'm sure they will do the same with MvC3.

I sooo called it.

Edit: The new Capcom roster of 6 will probably include Sakura, Dan, Ken, Gouken, Oni and Sean.

But for all we know, the DLC characters and Shadow Modes might be the ONLY thing this version gets.

It doesn't matter if that's all it gets. It's still cheaper than buying those characters as DLC would be.

12 * 5 = 60

UMvC3 = 39.99

I see a twenty dollar difference, and that's more than enough to justify a rerelease.

Torch had been in, but his flaming effects "caused too much slowdown."

Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering he didn't slow down MUA, but okay.

I think those were just low res fire effects, and Capcom was trying to be impressive with making hi res fire

Mugen is in no way as powerful as Capcom's MT Framework but when doing Human Torch's fire in mugen I had to pull back a little to avoid lag issues, and I didn't even have to worry about online play.
