I'm not surprised, but I'm angry that Capcom ~~those~~ chose the Battlesuit over her classic RE look. Hell, I'd be fine with her BSAA outfit.

Agree 100%, it's like with her and Spencer, they went out of their way to make them look as un-iconic as possible

What are Jill's common features?
-Brown hair (gone)
-Costume with blue theme (gone)
-Attractive, but little emphasis on blatant fanservice (both gone)
-A pretty face (gone by a country mile)

Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't make Arthur 6 feet tall, give him Final Fantasy hair, and get rid of his beard

i think what capcom was doing and are doing is updating character to thier now looks instead of doing the old looks of some of their characters. which aint that bad. author will never be 6ft tall unless he uses some magic to be able o reach the top shelf of the cupboard in his crib.

just like bionic commando. they could have chose the original one but they went with spencer look. so on that note....

To be honest, the design the chose isn't even the most recent one. Bionic Commando Re-Armed 2 is his newest appearance, so you'd think that they'd go with the 'Red Haired Duke Nukem' look

Anyhow, regardless, he's had 3 console games that I know if with the Duke Nukem look, and 1 very poorly received console game with the 'Dreadlocks & Stubble' look. The dreads are not only the least popular and iconic design by far, but also it's also not even his most recent appearance... lolwut?

The same can be said for Jill; her Resident Evil: Revelations is pretty much BSAA Jill without the cool hat. The fact that Jill wore that Battlesuit in an out-of-character moment in a small part of the least popular Resident Evil game just makes me throw my arms up in the air out of confusion as to why Capcom thinks this is the DEFINITIVE version of her.

One last thing; what if they made Spider-Man so that he was in the iron spider costume, and could only do things that the Iron Spider did in Civil War, completely disregarding his iconic red-and-blue costume? Sure, it's somewhat recent, and the old one may feel 'dated' if you REALLY look at it that way, but it would undoubtedly be a dumb decision.

The Iron Spider costume for Spider-Man in the game will undoubtably be nothing more then a skin swap, there wont even be any extra mechanical limbs like the actual costume had in the comics.

I know, I'm just saying, them putting "iron spider" in instead of regular Spider-Man is pretty much the same as them putting "super zero-suit blonde face-lifted evil zombie Jill" in instead of, well, Jill Valentine. When a beloved character is changed by the costume they wear, that's going too far.

^^ If my understanding of RE5 is correct, didn't they explain that the reason Jill looks the way she does now, is because of the experiments she underwent? Her being blonde and all, was a side effect to that. We've yet to see her move set for the game and if(most likely) she'll have the added abilities she had in RE5.

Now while I liked the original Jill and this was a sh!tty move by Capcom, we'll all just have to deal with it. Its either battle suit Jill, or BSAA pale, blonde Jill

As a friend of mine told me, all this modernization is ruining classic, beloved franchises. Of course, it can't be helped that game companies try to make said franchises stay as "trendy" as possible or made more serious, to retain public appeal.

Case in point: DmC.

Heck, it's a wonder that some series, like Mario and Classic Mega Man, have managed to remain intact.

You've got backwards, BSAA Jill has brown hair, battle suit has blonde hair. But I guess you'd have to have played the game you are criticizing to know that.

Who ever drew these comic images posted a few pages back, it wasn't Kevin Sharpe, the style is too different (but similar to those who don't know). The easiest place to spot it is on the capes, Kevin always draws the capes correct and realistic while this artist definately make normal guesses as to how to draw the wrinkles (especially on Doom where the cloak connects to the hood area.)

There're just 30 characters in the new select screen. Can't wait to see more characters remaining coming up. I know there are DLC characters will be coming too.

• Marvel vs Capcom 3 secret event on Thursday, January 6th in Las Vegas, Nevada, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• A brand new build of Marvel vs Capcom 3 — contains new characters which will be announced shortly.

• Tournament to be held with prizes.

• Must 21 or older.

• Free pizza and beer.

If you'd like to attend, send a private message to Snow on Capcom-Unity with your full name and age, and the full name and age of one guest (if any). In the subject line say, "I WANNA SEE YOUR SECRET PLACE".
