They are going to include characters that a lot of people recognise and that are current
Half of those games you mentioned I've never heard of, and I'm 21. The target audience for most games is 17-25. It's a smart move in terms of advertising other games and grabbing gamers attention for recent games.

Unlike Marvel Capcom's characters are not necessarily timeless and they have to change with the current trends. Sure there may be some retro characters but I bet this game is catering more towards newer, current and popular characters.

And tbh, gameplay is better than character choices. If one character doesn't get in then the game isn't ruined! There moveset may be represented elsewhere E.g Jill into Frank West

Really? You've never heard of half those games? As far as i know, most 17 year olds wouldn't have been alive to play any of the early mvc games like COTA. And therefor won't be the people who have been demanding the game for over a decade.

Yeah but 17 yr olds have been around long enough to play MVC2. And there such a thing as the vocal minority which is why some characters seem to have a large fanbase.

In the end though there's going to be characters that people want in but there isn't enough space/time to add them. No point getting disappointed over what may have been and simply enjoy what is.

And I've never heard of Forgotten Worlds, Three Wonders and Magic Sword.

Akuma Isnt a villain he just has a moral code that could be easily seen as evil. Akuma basically lives by a modified samurai code. Remember he is the one who ended Bisons reign in sf2. Hes also the one who killed Gill the first time in sf3 then he resurrected and then Alex killed him. The only reason he ever killed his brother Gouken is because Goutetsu told him he would have to. The only people he kills are people that request a fight to the death or that during a fight show they are worthy of a fight to the death. Also seeing how nobody that hes killed is dead technically he doesnt even have THOSE bodies on him.

I played those. Magic sword and three wonders are meh.

And forgotten worlds was the stupidest SHoot em up I've ever seen, and yes I'm counting  Paradious.

I'm glad viewtiful joe is in, but does anyone think capcom is shorting themselves in the roster? Dorammu, Super Skrull, and Doom look like they'd f***ing slaughter the entire capcom roster.  

Yeh not gonna front on that. After seeing How Doom and super Skrull get down in MVC3 in those videos (plus already knowing how DOOm was in MVC2). I think its a roll credits for anyone against a user whos top notch using those 3...

As for Retro, I think Arthur & Bionic Commando should get some play. Hell even Ken from Street fighter 2010 would have been a crazy cool addition but not many gamers will remember him. Viewtiful joe was obvious. Hes like the new Poster child for Capcom for the new gen like how The Blue Bomber was for the old school.

And of course i too grew up on Forgotten worlds, Trojan, Section Z and all that but i think Capcom went more towards the New audience.

Who do you guys think will make it into the marvel side (female characters)? I seriously hope Psylocke is in, as well as Rogue(with power steal. none of that "Life UP!" "Power Up!" "Speed Up!" crap from MvC2!). Also, Mystique.

I dunno dude, they've done a great job putting in some sweet marvel characters thus far. Almost nothing but badasses. 

Maybe Phoenix, or a few other overpowered Marvel chicks would be more appropriate. Course, how many other Marvel chicks can stand against Phoenix?

^^Its not really so much about that. Hulk can pretty much own all the Marvel cast thats in MvC3, but that doesn't stop them from putting him in there. While I am aware of MvC1's lack of females, MvC3 has more slots to fill in, I'm sure there would be some female Marvels in there. The question is, who?

I am floored with the new released characters . dormamu is a total cool in the comics so i can even imagine how crazy its gonna be playing either as him or agaisnt him.  Makes me wonder tho: the numerous people that when he is selctable, are gonna main this guy? staggering i tell ya. . So i can imagine a crazy lineup of someone choosing doom, super skrull and Dormamu. I will be like< OH CMON MAN! So i fgure with  these guys on the roster there must gonna be some good balancing and some added characters to choose that can really match them in terms of power. Dante already got some demonic powers and is a good match up to have in ya lineup but makes me wonder who capcom gonna have in there to go up against these heavy hitters as well?

and plus too they NEED more females in mvc3. i dont care how many but at least a sizeable amount.yeah no more sausage fest this time! . we need some pie in there. . But then that makes me wonder yet again, who could capcom put up against marvels chicks? except for morrigan, ameratsu, and trish, they really need some more powerhouse girls. Marvel females can all be beasts so capcom need some die hard chicks that can handle them as well as the guys. Power for power i am sure they are dumbing down the marvel side of characters cause if put in the fullness of their abilities yeah its a clean sweep darn near for marvel. Cant go by the comic on this one for sure in the game world but i cant wait to see who they got next for capcoms side. and please again mvc...add more women!
