Hypothetically speaking, if Phoenix were to get in, they'd have to have to add another Marvel character to balance the roster. Ghost Rider is probably the most likely candidate, because the producer said out of the potential characters for MvC3, Ghost Rider was the closest to making the cut. So it would make sense to include him, I guess.

The producer said: "implementing Phoenix Wright", this doesn't mean he will actually be a playable character, the way he worded it makes it seem like he would put him off in the background of some stage or something.

IMO, I'm glad Amataresu made it in the cut, but Howard the Duck, it would be a funny experience playing as him with Phoenix & Frank.

The Asian version MSHVs.SF had Norimaro so I don't see why Howard couldn't be turned into a full fledged fighter. I'd use him.

Just posting to say that Silver Surfer is pretty much confirmed to be in, Niitsuma was already talking about his game-play

"silver surfer is very quick and has a unique playstyle. he is never standing on the ground. he is always hovering on his board. niitsuma said that silver surfer is more of a character to be played by advanced players. he recommends dr doom to fantastic four fans who are new to the vs series.

also, niitsuma said the fantastic four play a major role within the basic plotline of arcade mode, and that the final boss should be familiar to fans of fantastic four."

• Niitsuma runs through the playable Fantastic Four cast of Doctor Doom, Super-Skrull, and now Silver Surfer, who will be shown off later this month. There are no screens of Silver Surfer yet, just a little portrait along with the other two fighters from that series.

• Silver Surfer is very quick and has a unique playstyle. He never stands on the ground, instead he's always hovering on his board, and he's recommended for advanced players. Doctor Doom was suggested as a good place to start for Fantastic Four fans who are new to the Vs. series.

• They've added more attacks from the Invisible Woman to Super-Skrull since the last public build.

• Also, Niitsuma mentioned that the Fantastic Four play a major role within the basic plotline of arcade mode, and that the final boss should be familiar to fans of that series.

• Capcom is thinking about doing a demo for MvC3, but they're not sure what form it would take at this point.

• Seth Killian said the whole cast is almost finalized at this point, but there could be a switch or two.

• It was stated again that the Fantastic Four will not be playable characters.

• Balance issues will not plague Marvel vs. Capcom 3, like they did MvC2.

• Every character in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will have their own ending in story mode. These endings will feature other characters from the Marvel and Capcom franchises — even people that aren't playable like Ghost Rider and Man-Thing.
