The only downside of the characters not being 2D is that they can't be mugenised... Oh well, here's to hoping Deadpool is really in the game.

Actually they can be, the real problem is ripping the sprites since the xbox360 and psp3 aren't emulated and any possible pc version won't allow you to remove the background during game play.

On the other hand, just because the characters are in 3-D, doesn't mean that this'll keep anyone from adopting their movesets for the 2-D Mugen equivalents...

Yes! Yes! Yes! This is the best news ever! I'm so excited, and to me it seems the roster will be kind of big since they are returning the 3 tag thing. I kind of hope they bring back all if not most of the mvc2 characters removing the clone characters and giving them there own movesets. Pleaseeeeeee put in of x-men characters like nightercrawler or jean grey, I also hope for some of capcoms favs like from rival schools, June Lin, dante, and maybe some sf3 characters. Roster has to be over 60 characters to outbeat mvc2 or and give the game a story mode!!! And make characters (special achievements) unlockables!!

They seem to actually be going for a marvel versus capcom character list this time instead of the previous x-men vs street fighter so i wouldnt expect that many xmen really. Which makes it more interesting IMO, we have seen a lot of versions of a lot of xmen but very few of the huge marvel universe.

Capcom universe isnt that big so its easy to make the cut.

Just curious but if hulk decides to kill chris (or at least put him in hospital if he's lucky ) will he be classed as dead in the actual Resident Evil games as well? just a thought

Sorry to be a buzzkill, but the Devil May Cry & Megaman trademarks are there only because the series were mentioned in the official press release as an example of some of Capcom's series. The same thing happened with TvC's initial press release last year, and everyone went crazy thinking a RE or DMC character were going to show up in that. To be fair though, this is MvC3. A Megaman and a DMC character(or two from the looks of it...) is a foregone conclusion.

Imagine if after you beat a character with Megaman you get their power, kind of like how you get Magnetic Shockwave by beating Onslaught in MvC.

Agreed. I wouldn't expect Spiral to return, for instance.

That said, I do hope the potential of variety (series covering-wise) in both sides will be achieved, this time around. I expect some curveballs to be thrown!

Actually, playing some games in the PC allows to somewhat "remove" the BG. I played SF4 some days ago, and due to the requirements, I need to put all the options to low, including the BG; when I played the game, the textures weren't present in the game.

no, cuz in the hospital someone will gave him a mix of green and red herb and Chris will be OK....

Well I saw the mention of Dorammu on www.gametrailers.com and he does fit the silhouette of the other poster with Ironman infront of everyone.

I feel you on that, Im from NewOrleans so its more of a Big Deal for me that he gets put in this game and a sense of pride to have a Marvel Hero from my city being on the roster. Not to mention he is my favorite, i would love to touch something and make it blow up....especially trolls -_-.....Hmmmmm O.o? (touches a troll) Woops O_O!!

So they are giving more importance to either characters who were born in these 10 years (since last mvc) or characters who will be important in the marvel universe for the next few years which is a pretty cool headstart on what stories we should pay more attention to.

The costume that Yun0 showed fits the shadow perfectly. Out of the flames you can see spikes of his headpiece and then there is his collar as well as his gloves, all easily made out.

To be honest I had no idea who he was either. However if he is an enemy of Dr Strange does that mean that the Dr will be appearing in some way? Two per series seems a good fit.
