i really want this to be good but these kinds of movies never are. guess i'll just have to wait for the release and reviews from real tekken fans

I... just got chills man... This looks like an actual tournament movie, which may end up being only okay.. but in the games in each character's beginning they do say they enter the King of Iron Fist Tournament.. so there ya go..

By the way, if anyone needs to know the song at the end it's You're Going Down by Sick Puppies.

They got the gear and looks down pretty good for the most part. As for story/plot.. Can't really be for sure yet. Just hope they don't all end up using weapons as I saw a few doing that. >.>

Still have hope for this movie. Reminding me of the first Mortal Kombat film some which was actually pretty good.

Yeah, I actually think both of the Mortal Kombat films were good, it's just the 2nd ones story kinda stunk.. that was the only beef I had with it. Hopefully this one will turn out much better than the others now that they have all of these movie effects to work with. If you'll notice with the Mortal Kombat films and even the Street Fighter one with Van Damme... they didn't exactly have a lot of effects to work with because they were developed in the 1990s... The Street Fighter one came out in '94 so that should tell you something there. I think as we got into like 2003 and 2004 though, I started noticing movies had a lot more effects put into them.

Street Fighter was pure garbage to me. Ryu and Ken were in it for about two minutes (they both looked horrible though, so kinda good) and Sagat seemed to be some type of skinny tall gangster type guy (from what I remember). Charlie was the one that turned into Blanka, right.? Then we had Universal Soldier taking on the dad from the Adam's Family.

The only cool thing about the movie, was the guy they casted for Zangief. That guy was dead on Zangief. XD

Then to top it off, they were like "Hmm.. We made the movie based on the game.. Now let's make a game based off the movie!"

Andrew Bryniarski is the one that plays zangief in the 94 movie, he is also known for playing leatherface in the Texas chainsaw massacre remake.

Back on topic i think this movie has

more chance of being good than that KOF movie, an alternate reality and guns? Ummm, I'll pass on that.

Yea, there is no chance of this being nearly as bad as the KoF movie. Couldn't even make it through the full trailers on that. >.>

Uh.. there doesn't HAVE to be King.. they leave certain characters out of certain movies... who knows.. they may bring him in this one and just forgot to put him in the trailer... there's no Murdock either.. ever think about that? I would say watch the movie BEFORE you judge...

I couldn't make it past the first 15 seconds, its looked more like a gothic snub film than anything. Everyone is is sporting leather, it looks more like a satire than anything.

As for tekken, I like the idea of a video game budget film, but a good writer and director are needed for it to work unless you all want a repeat of uwe boll's fine works.

EDIT: King or not, I think this will capture the spirit of tekken which is hard for most movies to do.

The guy at 1:18 that says "Get up!", I believe that's suppose to be Steve. From what I remember hearing, he's suppose to be Jin's trainer or something in the film. The one part of the plot I'm really not liking so far.

The weapons I think are fine, since in Tekken 6 you can use weapons XD. My beef is that Heihachi and Kazuya are working together...
that's not right at all. But I'd still watch this movie.

Looks iffy. i too feel mortal kombat. I want to see the regardless tho. Tekken, MK, SF, KI were games i was rose on.

I have to say this movie does not look to bad and worthy of a lazy sunday matinee showing. From the looks of it everything seems to be in order just have to wait for the plot and everything. But being on the hopeful side of video game movie for once feels pretty good. Just hope the writers did a good job

Not sure if the film looks better, but definitely far more accurate. Lei was kick @ss in it and it seemed like those fights would be pretty good. Also liked that they were fighting all over and not just in one arena.

If True Ogre or Gon comes out in this, I'm pretty much done there.
