Some feedback:

-His basic attacks are pretty slow and hard to connect.  In fact, many of his animations are slow, which makes him look odd.
-He has no hard crouch punch.
-His charging should change color, pattern, etc, to signify the strength of the blast.
-D/F/PP looks awesome, but I was disappointed to find out it acted as a single projectile. :|  Maybe you could use some helpers and make the small ones home into the target while the central one goes straight?  Cause it looks like such an awesome attack, but was disappointed at the cold truth.
-All his projectiles have both odd hitboxes and shadows.  Since they're sources of light, they should have no shadow.
-His D/F/K special would look better if the projectile came out earlier.
-The BGPalFX during the superpause should last longer.
-The Guard Push explod is reversed.

That's about all I can find.

Thanks for the feed back guys, I wasn't very pleased with the xbuster hyper myself, this version was very rushed, I managed to get him this far in 3 weeks.  Just imagine where he's gonna be in 4 or 5 months.  I'm hoping etg will help out with his buster shots and various fx because the gfx u see here are definately not final.  He will have the correct buster shots for the hyper as u can see he now has the x2 shots forming into the x3 shot.  That will definately be corrected.  As far as the slow moving animations go I program using mugen speed settings on 4. So try bumping it up to 4 and see if he plays a little smoother.

Okay I've gotten a chance to test him. I understand that this is still an early build, so please consider this just as helpful feedback, since I am a huge MMX fan myself, and just want to see him done right:

- His eyes are too big, he looks like an anime character. Plus his chin seems too pointy and his toothy grin just makes him look unnatural
- No taunt
- His run animation doesn't loop correctly, at the end of it
- It looks like he's running in slow motion
- His dash sound effect isn't consistent to the one used in the MMX games
- Punch hyper is very low on damage and kinda blah
- No grab throws
- Way too much Saber action instead of kicks. I'm not sure if you were going for a MMX around the X5-X6 time period where Zero was thought dead and X carried his Z-Saber in remembrance of him or not, (I told you I was a big MMX series fan!)

As a point of comparison, check out Daniel M. Cozer, aka Magma Dragoon's MegaMan X. It's based off the MegaMan template, but he's done a LOT to make it unique. In particular, notice the sounds and kick selection. You might even consider contacting Dan, and see if he'd give you his blessing to incorporate some stuff into yours.

There are some things I liked. Very keen on the MMX faithful buster shots, including the sounds.

In closing, the character has a lot of potential, but there's a lot of work to be done first. I applaud your efforts and remind you that my comments are nothing personal, as I wouldn't be able to do anything close to what you accomplished.

That will make him move faster, but will make everyone else as well move faster.  Unless he's slow deliberately for the fullgame, then I can see.  But for global MUGEN it's not very fast.

Feedback

First things first... I dont like his design...he doesnt look like X to me...Second thing is his animations are really choppy... Like there missing required sprites...and last but not least..his moves...although I do like the saber hyper idea...but he doesn't seem like someone I would pick at the select screen...this is a bad start *Iceman ThumbsDown!* and I hope he turns out better than the current one... X has a name to live up to....good luck  %%-

just got done playing x. i have to say wow im really impressed with what you have done but of course its in Alpha stage so theres much to be done.

Ok heres my list of things

Feedback

-he has no crouching hp
-no aerial hp
-if i charge and shoot in the air and press and hold the charge button while still holding up to jump the charge makes no sound.
- cant shoot normal buster shots during back dash but can do charge shots

Suggestions/Ideas

-More extensive combos

-How about having him do the buster hyper but make him shoot out one blast and make it so that the person has to shoot the second one to make it turn into the double charged shot. to make this easier you could have the hyper one go real slow so that X could mind game a little like dash through it then dash back and shoot a charge shot to turn it into the double charged shot (just an idea because you might not ever get to catch someone with the hyper as is though it is good)

-Make his D + HP launcher count as a low so (since the move comes out slow) if the opponent blocks high then they get launched. If you do this that one mind game X could use to catch opponents off guard.

- Maybe add wall slide, wall jump, and wall kick

-Enable X to shoot from a wall slide, wall jump, and wall kick

-Enable X to dash jump, wall dash jump ( but no wall to wall jumping as to make it fair)

- Add air dash and double jump

-If you wish to be different please dont use megamans hyper where he turns in the giant robot

-I know you most likely have armor plans for X so for future reference in certain armors he does have protective armor and if you are as big a fan of megaman as I think you are you already know which ones

-Armor hypers that give X special abilities (Falcon Armor for flight and Giga attack that covers the screen and etc)

-last but not least I think you should keep the saber hyper as is. its too perfect. You could also add it to Zero if you work on him someday but give it a more fire color and as well as its effect on the enemy (setting them on firs is what i mean)

but the helmet change alot when X is moving and the black thing in his hands/crotch/legs keeps disappearing
when moving... and i think the sprites looks like rushed up?

edit* : X's head sprites keeps repeating.. just found out u used only 2-3 helmet sprites and the rest the same and got 1-4 face emotions ,you still have many head sprites right?? :-??

anyway nice release :thumbsup:

Good feedback guys, but lets keep in mind this is an alpha.  I only worked on him for two weeks to get a good playable version of him going.  Sprites will be worked out later.  Personally I like his design and its not changing atm, thats the beauty of being a creator.  I would like to release a beta version of him before I take into account any feedback.  Im fully aware of most of the problems everyone is giving.  Time didnt allow for me to nitpick him apart for this release.  The beta release will be way better.  The honest truth about the Air HP, and the Crouch HP is I wasnt sure what to do with them, it will all be figured out in the upcomming releases so just hang tight.  If u dont like him at the moment, be my guest and improve him all of my releases are open source except for the GFX but u can use them within the character.  Thanks  I will be opening up the official Wip topic soon so this thread will be closed shortly after keep the comments comming until then.  Thanks for the feedback seeya in the WIP topic.
