my theater didnt have a midnight showing but i went to the first showing they had friday at 12:00 and like only 10 of 15 people were there so that was cool.

the movie at the beginning did the comic real justice then it strayed off a little bit but it made for a good movie so i didnt mind. oh and Manhattan's wang (which me and my friends dubbed "papa smurf") didnt bother me too much but i think it was in the comic a little less. my two friends who went had never read the comic but they still followed the story good, i just filled then in on some of the things that were left out of the movie and a few of the differences.

i personally cant wait for the deluxe edition dvd which will have the black freighter story in the movie like it was in the comic.

Did anyone else notice in the scene where Nite Owl II was going through Ozymandias's computer looking for information....
There was a folder on the computer labeled "Boys"?

There was also a folder labeled Alex or Alexander... I guess referring to what he said about Alexander the Great... (thats what gave him away for me even though they revealed it was him like 10 seconds afterwards

Well you know, the flap to Alexander the Great's tent swung open both ways.

And he was hanging out with the "croud" at studio 54..
Its not susprising to see a folder marked boys.

I just saw this movie saturday night and I'm still largely undecided about it. At certain times it was fairly hard for me to follow and I usually can follow fairly complicated plots readily.

I will admit though, it would have helped me concentrate had there not been a glowing penis there avery 5 minutes.

Watchmen isnt for everybody. Theres a huge amount of people that dont like the work of Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Miller, and Grant Morrison, or any of the other master writers in the industry. We have a name for those folks, but I'll keep that private

I dont see whats the big problem with blue penis, it wasnt in there as much as the graphic novel, and it wasnt even used sexualy. It was like looking at a moving blue greek statue.

okay, i just saw the movie yesterday but i never read the book before so:
1. Snyder action scenes are always a must

2. The story is perfect

3. I thought i was gonna cried when Rorschach died

4. I can t stand this stupid dr manhattan

he talks way too much, show his sex every two minutes

, killed Rorschach, doesn t do anything in the movie except being a bee-otch. Even the girl prefer to have sex with a geek like nightowl

halleluiah will always have a sexual connotation now in my ears

Alan Moore is my favorite comic book writer . Neil Gaiman is a close second .

But I must admit that glowing blue penis on screen for most of the movie did get to me

Couldn't they have shown more of silk spectre's breasts ?

I get where they were going with that , though . The point was all humanity had pretty left Manhatten , until the end he showed some . So in reality , if you feel beyond human , you wouldn't even feel the need to put on clothes everyday . It still bothered me , though

Didnt bug me in the slightest. Seems like this film is getting nitpiicked on personally. I can tolerate the blue dong over Bale's horrible Kevlar, Motocross Bat costume anyday.

Thought this was the greatest Comic Film ever made by a mile.

Nite Owl II was always my second favorate character, because of his nerdyness.

The penis thing is simply distracting to the average american audience. Honestly the mindset I went into this movie with was completely wrong. I will watch this movie again, more than a few times really, just so I can see what the director wants to portray through this movie. I'm sure that I would be able to come to a viable conclusion after I see it a couple of times. It's just not a movie that you're able to be amused by, this is more of a message than a movie and I didn't expect that.

You know for a long movie as this was, you guys tend to concentrate on the peener to much..

So it was on the screen a few times, who cares..

The movie kicked way to much @$$ to even care....

Its a little hardcore for my nephews, maybe when they are teenagers I will let them see it..
