Tessa: FM Updated 2/17/2009

Both Kenji and Tessa have been updated. Many issues and fixes have been addressed for Tessa, while Kenji received some updates in a few areas.

Please refer to the readme and movelist in both character's folders. All bug reports and feedbacks are welcome. Enjoy  :)

Congrats on getting her out! I won't have time to test her until tomorrow, so I'll post feedback then. I'm sure if she's even half as good as your previous releases that I'm going to be a happy boy.

@Atomic: Naw, not at all. The "surprise" was supposed to be another character under the FM label, but that will be released somewhere down the road, maybe in Spring. My plate's a little full with another project related to EOH from this point, so the surprise will have to wait.

To be honest, I didn't expect this character to be here so soon. I'll be checking her out later tonight / today (depends on the timezone you're in), first need to take a dump (not because of her release though, I just have to).

Okay, so, I did some small skirmishes, or rather, two rounds against the CPU, and it's a good character. No real bugs, as far as I can tell, or at least none that weren't already in Warzard itself, as far as I know.

hey Sabaki, congrats...its amazing chars! I'm proud to be on the same team of such skilled creator.

my feedback:

Mukuro - its almost perfect, if its not perfect. Very solid gameplay, good codes, precise moves. I miss some more moves or maybe a "another" groove with different moves.

Tessa - Another good one. But she has two fails:

1 - on Jamming Ghost, the first hit bade by the ghosts makes a hit spark appears...where she is. Why?

2 - I think that those ice attacks could be a bit faster, they are a bit slow.

Besides that, wonderful job man.

Congrats on the release!! Please accept my gratitude. :)

Ya know, I remember when I first asked Acey to add Tessa to the roster. When she agreed to it I was sooooooo excited. I'm a big fan of Red Earth and hated that they never released it to console, darn Arcade exclusives...I'm very happy with this release. Along with my desire for Red Earth to come out for a platform I often wondered what it would be like to have her in Mugen. Well thanks to you I'll get that chance to see her on the Mugen battleground.

This project is seriously one of my favorite Mugen projects ever.

For me, they're about the same speed as the original. You do have to realize that the ice attacks have mad distance, and as far as I know they're either projectiles or helpers, either way, they don't give a penalty to the attacker when hit by an attack. Although I do have a feeling these attacks also have an infinite priority.

@O Illusionista - Thanks. Kenji was one of my 1st characters, so originally he wasn't very good, but I had enough practice to finally get coding right  :D. As for Tessa:

-Yeah, that 1st hitspark in Jamming Ghost appearing near Tessa is somehting I haven't figured out how to fix. The coding I have is supposed to make all hitsparks appear on the opponent. I'll keep working on it.
-Her ice attacks are as fast as they should. Any faster and she'll be unstoppable.

@Spidercide: Thanks. Tessa's one of my favorites from Red Earth, and I've always wished that Capcom included her in more games.

Although I do have a feeling these attacks also have an infinite priority.
When the opponent is hit by her ice attacks, they're put into a state where they can't be hit by another attack to avoid overpowered gameplay (except if they hit as counterattacks). Her ice is pretty simple to avoid if you ask me, and fast characters can overwhelm her pretty easily. I don't believe she has infinity priority, but who knows?

Tessa's been updated. Here's what's been done:

-Fixed vels for Reverie Sword, as well as adjusted sword during Medium & Heavy Reverie Sword
-Aligned some ice sprites
-P2 is now invincible after after all hits of any Tricicle Mystic Break connects
-Fixed issue where ghosts would face the wrong way after Jamming Ghost connects (issue was with
 MK and HK versions)
-Fixed issue where 1st hitspark would appear near Tessa after Jamming Ghost connects
-Added limiter to prevent Death Phenomeno from being repeated even after it connects
-Increased duration of MK and HK Death Phenomeno, while increased the time it takes for HK version
 to connect to increase risk & reward when using this
-Added shattered glass pieces for all Tricicle Mystic Breaks
-Staff will now respond immediately to attack after taunt ends
-Adjusted time, increased push and increased damage dampener for Pop Wand
-Tweaked Howl Flapper abit
-Made it easier to execute Air Chakra Wave during back dash
-Reduced invincibility time for Dragon's Roar

No patch file since almost all files were updated, so you'll need to download the whole thing again. New link in the 1st post.

there was a bug tht i found.......where vs mukuro she froze in one spot. bad thing is i dont know how it happened and i exited it without getting a screeny o.O#

-Removed extra helper during Heavy Air Chakra Wave
-Fixed bug where frog would turn into a Tessa clone if Air Chakra Wave is done after a super jump
-Each version of Jamming Ghost now produces a different number of hits according to Red Earth
-Fixed bug where small hearts overlap if Heavy Death Phenomeno doesn't connect
-Made Jamming Ghost same as in Red Earth (i.e. blockable, random attacks, etc.), as well as incorporated Guard Crush and Counter Impact
-Fixed issue where Tessa slide after landing from a jump
-Added jump land sound
-Fixed missing hitsparks for Standing MP

Download the patch file if you don't want to download the whole thing.
