WinMugen closing itself.
« on: November 28, 2008, 11:27:49 AM »
So I get winmugen, a screenpack (Mugen Fighting Jam), and a handful of characters. Being away from mugen for awhile now, I just got back to the swing of things.

I install the screenpack, add all of the characters in the select file, and run WinMugen.

However, whenever I run WinMugen, it closes itself before it even boots.

What's going on with it?

You may have too meny things running and there isnt enough memory....
Or you have mp3's set for the intros and you dont have a powerful enough plugin to handel them (there's one on my website link in sig)
Or your roster is just too big for your computer's memory...

Thats all i can think of what may be the case :-??

When that happens to me its usually because I installed something wrong or something I installed wasnt compatable.  U shouldnt i put that much stuff in at once because it will be hard to filter out them file causing the prob.  Try taking out the bigger chars and stages and see if that helps.

I resolved this problem by going from winmugen, to winmugen plus.
This problem is usually caused by an unstable character, you can try removing them one by one from the def file until it works, or move to winmugen plus.
