Ken for Mugen (may work in DOS)
By supermystery

Version 1
===========

Features:

AI

Dizzy Mode

Moves and fighting style similar (although not 100% accurate) to X Men vs Street Fighter (PSX)

Notes:
--------

Decided to convert my favorite street fighter character to mugen, as my favorite version was from Xmen vs Street fighter, i did an attempt to match the moves as close to the game as possible
although not everything is accurate to the game.

*This ken may be slighty better for comboing than in the orginal character, this is due to some minor tweaking to my preference.
*some moves may treat the opponent different to how is done in the real game (such as the HK) because i didnt want to use custom states too much
otherwise the moves would then have no effect on character with super armor (ie apocalyspe)
*Although i tried my best to emulate the actual game some moves could still look off idk.

Download;

====================================================================
Regarding AI
====================================================================
Default is on but if you really want to switch it off open the piccoloSB.cns file and do the following:

Change:

;AI on or Off
[State -2, Simplifier]
type = VarSet
triggerall = !IsHelper
trigger1 = var(58) = 1
trigger2 = var(0):=0
var(0) = 1 ; Another option is to replace 1 with something like MatchNo, if
; you want to design your AI to have varying levels of difficulty.
IgnoreHitPause = 1

To:

;AI on or Off
;[State -2, Simplifier]
;type = VarSet
;triggerall = !IsHelper
;trigger1 = var(58) = 1
;trigger2 = var(0):=0
;var(0) = 1 ; Another option is to replace 1 with something like MatchNo, if
; you want to design your AI to have varying levels of difficulty.
;IgnoreHitPause = 1

that was sure unexpected...i'll test him out  :)

Just a few things while testing it:
*The launcher make the opponent go a little too high to land an appropiate air combo.Normally for MVC-like chars,your character goes to the same height or at least a little higher than the opponent so you can hit it with pleasure
*I believe that the damage for the hypers are ok,as Ken's hypers in XVSF were way overpowered(but not as much as Akuma's)
*His forward dash seems a little too stiff to approach an opponent
*Advice:try to put all the possible combinations of 2 punches/kicks,so its
*The hadoken makes the sound if it hits even if it's cancelled against another proyectile(meaning hadoken vs hadoken makes an echo of sounds,when the sound should be different or none as they cancelled each other)

Other than those two things after playing with him for a while,pretty good job SM

Should've kept this comment to yourself then and stuck with the Ken's in your roster.  :-w

Thx for sharing it Supermystery, but that's quite unlogical to release a XvS Ken, for the reason that a new hyper has been added from MvS/MvC2 (the super hurricane kick thing), those versions of Ken being already made. Then, it will have helped ya to improve your creating skills (which is a REALLY GOOD THING), but don't expect too much it's downloaded. :'(  :'( <=== Don't feel offended.

Thanks,  as for the forward dash move it IMO it does actually feel similar to how it was in XVSSF,although i may see if i can possibly loosen it.

Not really, i didnt really want to create a ken i wasnt going to use on my roster as im not very keen on the later kens, however i may do a version 2 where that mode could be included.

I like this Ken. He's pretty much old school and I like to see old school and new school versions of characters duke it out. I had to do this with the xmvssf and mvc2 magneto and just like your Ken the results were fun in a fight. Thanks and good joob Super Mystery!! :thumbsup:

Thank you so much for this version of Ken. Man I tell you that XMvsSF was my favorite of the versus series. If you get around to making anymore please don't hesitate to let me know.
Great work Supermystery, keep it coming!

yeah...the AI really kicked by butt...it's ruthless as most of your AI's,even harder than the original AI(i liked the fact that it doesn't spams shoryukens at the air like the original) :thumbsup:

Yeah, i thought it would be a change from the norm. Most MVC (normal) Kens that dont have an much of an AI and also the real Xmen vs street fighter version didnt seem that tough either, even at lvl 8, so i thought it would be a good idea to make sure he puts up a good fight.

Thats kinda odd as not many people have problems with mediafire, i suggest you try again later.

Thats a suprise, i didnt think he was that tough i recently put him against evil ken and evil ryu and he won 1 round against them but then ken loses the match, he doesnt seem to be beat those characters very much, i did see him beat the old version of evil ken though.

Ken Updated:

Version 1.8 :18/11/08
============

Speeded up the shinryuken (it went up too slow and too high)
Added some more palletes
There maybe other errors i fixed but i forgot about them
New mode added! MSH vs Street Fighter (which is really the same gameplay as MVC2)
(hold start and press A button when choosing ken)
I tried to make sure the moves in this mode match the said game, of course, not everything my be 100% accurate.

Some differences between the 2 modes:

dash back doesnt leap
Fireballs are larger and disappear sooner the time varies with each fireball same goes for air
dragon punch is always with fire and some velocites are different
Hurricane Kick goes upwards and finishes with a kick afterwards
A new hyper move is usable: Shippuu Jinari Kyaku

after a lil testing....

Shroyureppa  lvl 1

Shinryuken   lvl 1

should be a couple ticks faster....

other than that I think this is the BEST ken from the marvel versus series and feels closes the original and still fun to play  :)

After playing the original game (on normal speed) the shroyureppa does actually feel slightly slower however, the shinryuken feels ok to me Ill probably do a quick update on that soon.

Thanks and im glad you like the character :)

EDIT: Did a quick fix on the shoryureppa, should be now faster.

Idk if start to like any other vs. characters there will likely be another, ken just stood out for me because hes the one i like to play as most.

On other news ken's slightly updated, you can now add more hits + speed to the knee throw.
