They (The Guild) are not the only forum, correct, but they ARE the biggest. This change was something Infinity stood for at one point in time. We have looser restrictions that the other forums had, and now that the bigger forums dropped their unrequestables lists, we MAY drop ours. I mean, there are certain aspects and guidelines a forum in this COMMUNITY has to follow to exist. We will not be making many changes on how we operate because of this immediately. As we all get used to the new Guild and the new rules and how everything works, we may evolve further, but immediate impact is almost none to us here. I am still grinning ear to ear thinking how people like Magus and The End (Agent Six) are feeling right now

Besides MI is different from Mugen Guild.... it doesn't meant that if MFG can do their own sh*t, MI can do the same sh*t... that's not the case... however, by reading much more of the new standards that Mugen Guild has made, there are still some parameters such as in the request section where:

- if the char is online, don't request.

also i still agree with this:
"Proper credit" would ideally include the following:

    * name of creation
    * name(s) of author(s) involved
    * author's original website url <============== at least there is still some respect here
    * version number (if any)
    * time of last update or timestamp of last updated file

making a site like a mugen database is pretty much okay for me.

MFG says:
"if you strip the creations you host of their readme files and make them look like they were yours, you will very likely make yourself very unwelcome around here - aka you do the sh*t of plagiarizing and you suck"

Now I still agree with this because Plagiarizing = TRUCK LOAD OF FAIL.

I'm not worried about Guild. They set the bar in the past because they were the largest, the strongest. Not so much now. At this point they have a slew of very angry, very confused members.

And now there is Infinity, RS, MGBR, MI and other joints that still stick to the community standards. You have to remember too this was not decided by all of Guild: the number of people that chose to do that could be counted on one hand, and have done...what for the community? It's easy to care when either you don't or your neck isn't on the line after all.

This is nothing new. All it means is Guild died suddently, silently, and a new place with the same name rose, dragging all the old members along for the ride (because after all, most of those members are gone by now, and corpse accounts make it look oh so much bigger).

We're all fine...just got a bigger shitfest to worry about guys is all.
