aside from what Zero said...
I feel you need to only work on two other things..

you should animate his Shinku Hadouken better and
you should make his Double Shunku Hadouken un-comboable
with his Shinku Hadouken
but that last idea is just a thought..

other than that...he just rocks....

Thanks you guys i'm glad you folks like him because some people think he's just pure CRAP.

This Ken is terrible.

  • Shoryuken knocks the opponent too high.
  • HK should NOT knock the opponent all the way across the world. This is MvC, not DBZ.
  • CLSNs are retarded.
  • Attack spark animations are wrong.
  • HOORAY, INFINITE ATTACK PRIORITY!
  • Shin Ryuken does WAY TOO MUCH DAMAGE FOR A LEVEL 1 SUPER.
  • MvC super jump DOES NOT HAVE AFTERIMAGES!!!
  • Double Shinkuu Hadouken is a lvl2 and only does 32 more damage than Shin RyuKen, which is overpowered for a lvl1 anyway? What the hell?
  • I should be able to kick up to, from memory, 7 times when using the HK forward throw.
  • The vel at which the opponent is thrown at HK backward throw is too high in both X and Y.
  • KEN SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DOUBLE JUMP
  • YOUR CLSNS ARE SO RETARDED THAT I HAVE TO MENTION IT AGAIN
  • NICE DEBUG FLOOD. THOSE WHITE LETTERS ARE THERE FOR A REASON. TRY READING THEM.

The only thing thats wrong with JZ's post is that he was mean....Well hopefully its better then your cyclops who was cheap...

I agree with poor boy...something tells me that the main reason he went off like that (and this seems to be a BIG thing with many of the Mugen vets in the community) is so many people not really trying the character and just posting that the char is great! Reza, you know me from the Guild...I gave you a lot (or at least I think it was alot) of inspiration on your Cyclops (the whole using XML and XM:ND for new moves for him, remember) so you know I'm not out to dis you...but I agree with some or all of JZ's points. I'm not a creator so I don't know all those technical terms he used, but I do know that there are some problems with him just by watching the video (yes, I am going to DL him and try him out myself later this week). Like, near the end of the vid (in the second round) when Ken threw one of his Hadoukens within sweep distance, either the fireball missed or it didn't create a hitspark...some of his attacks look jittery, but that could simply be from the actual video recording so, meh...I like Ken, and this one is certainly a welcome addition...but I also know that this one is a beta and I can see that there is still work...so please try to take JZ's tips (minus the mean stuff) and work on those points as well, cause he needs those things to be fixed along with all the extra stuff you are gonna add. Keep it up, dude.

P.S. I am just gonna go ahead and suggest this now while it's on my mind; when you get ready to start on your other Marvel chars, try to use Marvel Ultimate alliance and other Marvel games like it as inspiration for new stuff (like you did with Cyke) cause I can already tell you that in MUA, Spidey's new Bash Throw would be a nice move for him (let me know if you need me to elaborate)...haven't played the updated 360 version of MUA, so not sure what they gave new to Mags and Cyke, but it's worth finding out to make your chars unique.

Another thing to make his shinryu-ken look nicer is make the light pillar flash, like in MSHvsSF. It'd look alot cooler!

Contrats on this new release Reza ^:)^...he´s a great char,he´ll replace my Ken-x soon :o
BTW,the palettes that you included with the char don´t work at all...none of them...
It only works with the portrait,but not the rest of the char
I know that it´s the first beta,so you have a lot of space to improve things stated before
And above all...PLZ DON´T ASK SM TO MAKE THE AI FOR HIM!!!
He turned your awesome Cyclops into a cheap proyectile spammer... :-&

yea but that mvc akuma suks bad i dont know y everybody likes um it seems like a rush job and limited moons ryu is getting old not to mention the fact that he does not work well with the mvc patcher if u can make a ken when there are plenty around i think he could do the same wit ryu and akuma i mean there has not been one good mvc2 akuma yet and i theink reza is the right person to do it
