Well, I guess all i can say for me is that I have been with the franchise for 21 years now and has grew up with me for so long.  My only true friend.  Maybe some others on here have experiences like that.  So I have a Rockman obsession, but that's just me.

I like Megaman but I don't love it.I think Megaman's cool.But I'm not a megaman fanatic like some of my friends are even though I played Megaman Games back then and saw the cartoon.Megaman's really cool.But not all that awesome if you ask me.

I love the games because they speak to my true gamer. Little known fact, I'm 27. Since I was 8, I've been playing Megaman games. He's always been there just like Mario has, and he still is, but he essentially hasn't had to do of changing. Aside from the BN and Starforce game (which I never got into that psuedo-turn based, card battle stuff) the core elements are there. They're tried and tested and they work. I mean, as awesome as Mario64, Sunshine, and Galaxy are, if they were to make a full-on side scrolling platformer akin to SMB. 3, the world would explode. Everybody loves that game. Megaman is like that damn near everytime (MM7, X6-7 fail). Again, I don't like the BN games, but Transmission on the Cube was flippin awesome.

The're fun to play over and over, they're nostalgic that what makes him awesome is still making his awesome, and they're challenging. You can't just pick it up and expect to go through it that easily. If you suck, the game's gonna let you know you suck. Most current-gen gamers don't have what it takes to play them (too much FPS/GTA/Madden, do get me wrong cause I play Halo 3 to death), so they say he sucks. Gamers that pick him up now weren't there for the long haul, so they're indifferent to him.

Megaman games are fun. I was actually thinking about going to buy the Megaman X collection today, but I havn't gone cause I'm lazy and gamestop is far away, . Speaking of Megaman games though, i'm almost done with Megaman Zero. That game is so damn hard, .

I'm a Megaman fanatic because I've been playing Megaman since I was 7. I just thought he was a neat character and I really enjoyed the games he was in, me personally I don't hate a single Megaman game (I lied about X2 G_LUX  ). Out of Mario Sonic and Megaman if I had to choose It'd be Megaman, that's just me of course don't attack me for saying that. I just like his games and I think his design is just awesome. I understand there are people who get annoyed with a certain video game or character because of people like it, but the same could be said for of things someone else likes, It's all a matter of opinion I guess (Yep, I used opinion also).
As for BEING Megaman, honestly I thought it was cool as kid but I think that's just some people over-exagerating because of how big of a fan someone is. 

(I think this is the most I've ever typed in a single post, not even which is sad in a way.)
Oh and yeah the first Megaman Zero, hate X.

Mega Man is totaly freaking awsome, thats why, and when you can get past levels that totaly piss people off, it makes you feal good about yourself. Like the first time I got though quickman's stage without using the time stopper, man that was epic.

Mega Man is totaly freaking awsome, thats why, and when you can get past levels that totaly piss people off, it makes you feal good about yourself. Like the first time I got though quickman's stage without using the time stopper, man that was epic.

Yeah...that was epic for me the first times i made it...after that it becomes more of another pattern that i have mastered in megaman games 
i picked that game up a few weeks ago for Nes,and i was able to do it in just two tries i think(with the first one being the amnesia that didn`t let me remember how it was done...)
strange enough,i bought megaman 2 because i had a magazine from 1994 that had a guide on each boss weaknesses,and i already had MM3...i looked that game like a maniac until i eventually found it in a shop...one of the happiest days of my life back in the day
