Gouki by Tin; AI taking over
« on: July 22, 2008, 03:10:36 PM »
Just as the title says, Gouki SvC by Tin is acting up. His AI is taking over in the fight, usually at Round 2.

I'd contact the author of the character if you can. Talk to them about it. It could be a setting somewhere in the .def file too, I think.

Well, that's my last resort. I like to think that there is a help section here for a reason.  :-??

Well, that seemed to have worked, but it also messed the character up. Instead of dashing now, he does his dash animation and runs.

how about if you just put in the regular common1 and thats all. seems to me like you took a common file out then replaced it with the common1, but i didnt tell you to do that. i just told you to put a regular mugen common1 inside him. i didnt tell you to do anything else. Im pretty sure the common file that he had was under a different name.

I tell you to do this cuz usually when the char ai is popping up outta nowhere, its usually a var in a custom sp's common1 that is interfereing with a var within the char. placing a default common1 will make the char read from that common1 instead of the screenpacks common1.

No, man, I didn't. I did EXACTLY as you said. I put the common1 file from the default MUGEN into Gouki's folder, and that's it.

So how in the world could that mess something up?..... aight imma go get his akuma, and if i find out that nothings wrong, imma laugh at u aight? lol.

well i see how the common1 reacted cuz when u put the default common1 in, he already had a common1 with the exact name and you overwrote that common1. thats why the dash run happened. Well i just downloaded Tins svc chaos gouki. And i played 5 matches with him in 2 player mode. I didnt do anything to him(modify). He worked fine and the ai did not take over. i found no problems so i dont know what to tell you. Maybe you should change screenpacks.

But imma just make a logical guess.... find this:

;//////////////////////////////////AI“®ì
[State -1]
type = varset
trigger1 = var(1) = 0 && fvar(24);&& var(2)
trigger1 = command = "cpu"
var(1) = 1

and put NULL; as the state type in the place of varset:

;//////////////////////////////////AI“®ì
[State -1]
type = NULL;varset
trigger1 = var(1) = 0 && fvar(24);&& var(2)
trigger1 = command = "cpu"
var(1) = 1

its the very last item in the command file.

Bah. Well, hope that works, since I'm totally not changing screenpacks.

Thanks anyway, Shinra.

Lemme try real fast.

EDIT:

Alright, did what you said. Still doing it. I'm playing in Arcade mode, and on round two against Eiji Kisaragi (vans) his AI takes over as soon as the fight starts. Blargh.

Well, I certainly can't do that, I don't even know what his dash is in the CMD. >.>

I'd PM you, bro, but I don't have yahoo IM.

ill just post a fileden link. hold up.

aight, tell me how this works : http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/2/19/796612/common1.cns

actually the dash command is still called the run fwd, run back. to find out what stateno ur in while u do a move, press ctrl+d. thats one way of finding out wat a moves stateno is.
