Stage Music Probs
« on: June 24, 2008, 04:12:01 AM »
Alright, I just downloaded a new mugen folder and added the Heaven and Hell screenpack. I installed my chars and stages. When I went to play my mugen, the music was all scratchy and kinda skipping. When I move the characters, the music kinda stops doing that but when the chars stand still, then the music starts skipping again. So what's up with that? Mind helping me out here.

P.S. Noob question (I think) but with the volume set high in the stage def files, the music is still quiet in the game so can you tell me how to get the volume up. Thanks  ;D

take a look at your plugins list from the mugen.cfg in the data folder.

You'll need to change your mugen plugins (as found in your plugins" folder) to which ever ones work best for your computer, it's basically guess and check but I have found that the DJ_VANS.DLL that comes with the EVE screen pack works for the most computers.

1) open the plugins folde rand see what is in there.

2) open the mugen.cfg file (it's found in the data folder).

3) look through the file until you find the plug-in section. This will tell you which plug-ins (from your "plugins" folder) are installed (if they are typed out in the file then they're installed.)

Hope this helps.

Ok here is what it basically says:

plugin = plugins/in_mad.dll, mp3, mp2, mpg

Everything seems correct so I'm wondering why I'm still getting probs.

I see why in_mad is a bad mp3 plugin. If you have in_mp3.dll try that one out.

exactly, so you have one plugin in your system and it doesn't work well with you're computer, try getting some other ones and test them out.
