stages with weather running slow after a while

I posted about this before but when I play on a stage that has like a lot of rain or snow, I would assume that they require a lot of RAM to run at full speed, but mugen runs them at a lower speed than a regular stage.

But when I restart my computer and then play on them, they run fine for a little while then it goes back to running them pretty slow after like 10 minutes. It's like my computer isn't restoring RAM or something.

This never used to happen till my second HDD died (I only used it for storage though and I replaced it with a 250 GB HDD, the old one was a 40 GB)

this only happens on stages like Teros' DMC3 stage, and Ryu's SF3 stage with the snow falling.

anyone have any idea what can I do to fix this? I have a 3.3 GHz Celeron, 1.5 GB of RAM and a X1650 512 MB Radeon video card so running mugen at max is no problem but I think it's a RAM issue or swap file or virtual memory or something (I don't know how to adjust these)

that sometimes can be happening with the explodes that you set up to appear,as well as the collision box for the characters(yes...too many might slow you down)
your pc is indeed much better than mine,so could you tell us what stage are you talking about?that can help testing it in my own mugen...also what SP are you using?

you notice it mainly on teros' DMC3 tower stage, the one with a lot of rain, and then there is a version of Ryu's stage from SF3 with snow falling really slow.

I'm using the EVE screen pack.

I can start up my PC, launch Mugen and go to those stages and it will run them fine. I can sit for a few minutes and literally watch the performance drop. This happened after my D harddrive ( not my main drive, I used as storage, 40 GB. My main HDD is a 80 GB and thats the one that runs windows, and i have XP pro btw) had died so I put a 250 HDD drive in.

I know that but ever since i got my new CPU/motherboard and video card this has never been an issue.

I can literally sit still on stages like that and watch the game gradually slow in performance. It's weird

Like Panda Internet Security or something like that?

I've never come across that problem before but my guess would be that its your pc..

It's the stage, trust me. I had that problen before . Take some of the sprites away to work properly.

I have CA security running but what is strange that it never did that before. All this happened after my 40 GB HDD died (my storage drive)

None, but I think some may be running in the background. I just woke up and director player had to close, I have no idea what that is

also Syn's Requiem of the Dammed stages runs flawless and it has more taxing effects than the DMC stage and the snowy SF3 Ryu stages.

well hmm some stage it depends on the transparent color the more of an image that show on na transparence heavy stage the more it will lag sometimes it depends on the size of the image

it's pretty much the stages. I did a supur long system restore and some stages that did it don't do it anymore and the DMC3 stage doesn't' do it as much.
