i have only played the prince of persia games a few times but i liked what i played

i hope the movie will live up to the game

DUDE!!! Both Orlando Bloom and Jake Gyllenhaal fit the parts of Prince of Persia!! Too bad for Bloom, though, haha... although he does have the facial structure and hair to pull it off....... Hopefully Jake will do great!

Although, I am quite disappointed after reading that article... it seems that they're going with a new story (or the old story) and not the one from the newest version of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time video game..... huh... I wonder how they'll pull off the 2nd and 3rd games... a lot of green screen for those... eh...

What I don't understand is why don't they go with the story from the newer versions of the Prince of Persia games.... They were so much more entertaining... and I think that actress could pull off looking like Farah..

If they were too close to the original games, people would find it boring or predictable. thats why when movies being made about some other media genre they always vary. (Ie. The latest Iron Man movie, that varied quite a lot from the original comics and first movie, so you would be a little surprised)
As for why not the genre of the newer movies, they are working with Disney, and probably trying to get as low rating as possible. They are a family corporation after all.

The original game was basically a little bit more mature version of Alladin.

.....Umm I guess people forgot that Disney was involved making Pirates of the Caribbean. Folks one other thing, the original creators if I am correct are help writing the movie. There is hope for this movie.

Um.. yeah.. but did you see any blood??? The most nasty thing on there was on the 3rd movie, when Davy Jones was digging into that guys eyes at the end.... but you didn't even see his face while doing it... I didn't see any blood in any of the movies.. just torn shirts...

Um... no it can't... that's what I didn't like about the Pirates movies.. barely any blood... All I can say is that they better have some awesome sand effects in this one, and he better act like the Prince of Persia, climbing on walls and $h1t, otherwise I'll be really disappointed!

Video game to film movies didn't suck... well.. there were a few terrible ones.. but otherwise they were pretty good. Thank the lord that they weren't disney, otherwise they would've really sucked.

When I heard that RE was going to be a movie, I was ecstatic about it because I would finally be able to see Jill, Barry, Wesker and Chris on the big screen. Although Hollywood ended it with an entire original story arch. I don't want movies based on games to have original content, otherwise I would watch movies not based on games.

Disney has made the most popular movies in history, and they were able to capture death with more drama then some guy bleeding everywhere. Violence IS GOOD sometimes, but it is just as good without. If they go for the first game, then it porbably should not have any blood, if they are going for a 2nd or 3rd or 4th game look, then there would probably be blood...

I just don't think Disney is right for this project... they will have to go to another company for the 2nd and 3rd film for more blood and gore, because that is what is featured in the newest games... blood & gore.. big & scary monsters, ya know.. Disney can't make movies like that, because Disney doesn't make Rated R movies.......

The 2nd movie is supposed to take place at the same time as 2/3, meaning the 2nd movie is impossible because Jill escaped with Carlos and nobody else. So the Re movies are an entire different story arch.
