Portriat problem
« on: April 25, 2008, 05:58:50 PM »
K guy i just switched to the Mugenlife lifebar and i knew i had to make new portraits for these. So i made a couple of portraits for the characters. I did everything that i was supposed to do and had no problems with some. Then i tried to change the portraits for k2000 and CVS2kim and i ran into a problem lol. I checked all the properties of the portraits and they were correct. Then I thought maybe i should do them again just in case. So i did and came up with the same problem. So if anyone knows how to fix this problem please tell me.

Here are the examples

thats because some characters come with "shared pallete" sprites, so if you change one of the sprites or portraits in the .sff, they wont show up correctly unless you apply the same colors of the pallete used in this character, this is sometimes a mess and you have to select/unselect all the sprites with shared pallete, what i do is just:
Export any sprite, Export the pallete and then apply the pallete to my new portrait so it will be compatible with the rest of the sprites.

Hope this helps, its been a while since i worked with characters so i cant remember the whole thing.  :)

Did you add the portraits at the end of the sff with the "shared palette" box unchecked?

the problem is that the "shared palette" box should be checked since you are applying the same pallete as the other sprites.
