ok well DUH mmx is better than mm.    thats like if saying who will win goku or super sayin goku !!!!  :-@

but MM original is better when it comes to entertaining and playing, and was much simpler so anybody can play it.

mmx series turned into an anime kids only type of games when after X5. so when i played them i was highly annoyed and confused.

Anime kids only? Do you remember the diffuculty of that game? That game is almost as hard as X3.

If any series is geared towards youth it's Exe and RnR. (That's Battle Network and Starforce. Gawd, Starforce? really?)

Pffft, those games are harder and more popular with adults than you think.

I didn't say they easy or that others besides kids like them. I just said they are geared towards the youth. Don't put words in my mouth please.

why do ppl say the x series is hard? What does ftw mean? X series is not hard at all ppl. Now advent is hard as crap to me. Especially that dam floating ruins stage with all that wind and those things that shoot u out the air aand u cant jump again. All x series is hard at first then u get used to it then its easy. X3 is not harder then x5 in any way.

I love both, but X is my fav, though Rockman was my childhood friend.  I know many people don't like X6, but X6 was one of my favorite especially the challenge and level up your characters and save helpless Reploid.

X6 let me down for one major reason. Not the bad translation, not the "Nightmare" system that changed the level when it was highlighted in red, not even the reploid saving, or the failure to do so. It was the broken level design. X6 is the only game that you cannot past as X without any upgrades, save for having the X-buster forced on you in X1. In Fact, if you can't get past the first section of Gate's lab if you don't use the Shadow Armor or use Zero.

I remember I went into that level the first time with the Blade armor and 9 men, only to be forced to kill myself on those spikes because I couldn't get across them. I excused the game up to that point, but I can't forgive them for that.

That's why I like X6, it's too hard for most people but, for me I love the challenge.  All of the other X have no challenge for me.  I like the nightmare system too.

i have to more or less agree with you on that one because now that i have played the other versions of the games and beat them x6 really is tremendously hard without upgrades.

i have to more or less agree with you on that one because now that i have played the other versions of the games and beat them x6 really is tremendously hard without upgrades.

It's not tremendously hard, it is physically impossible to pass without upgrades.

The developers automatically assume that once you reach Gate's stages, you either:

a) have unlocked Zero and are playing as him

b) have all four Shadow armor parts and are currently using it.

However, I've played that game so many times I know it like the back of my hand, and I can get there without picking up one upgrade outside of getting the standard "Weapon Get" from the bosses.

But the first stage of Gate's Lab. physically won't allow you to go any further once you've reached the bottom of that drop because the spike wall is to high to jump over, and even if you wall jump up to it, you can't dash jump across that many spikes. Even Blade X's mach dash can't make the jump. The only option you have is to stick to the cieling, and ceiling dash across that section, in which case you need Shadow X or Zero.

Then there's Stage 3 of Gate's Lab. The one section that looks, for the lack of accuracy, something like this:

                                                 |   |
                                                 |   |
                                                 |   |
                                                 |   |
----------------------                   |   |             ------------------
                                |                |   |              |
                                |                |   |              |
                                |                |   |              |
                                |                                    |
                                |                                    |

Yeah, that's simple enough, slide down the side and air dash under to the other side....oh wait, that's right... Shadow X can't air dash.

At this point, if you're not playing as Zero, you are boned! Right then, you're wishing you were using Blade X, but that idea got thrown out the window because Blade X can't get past Stage 1 and now that you've started, you can't switch Armors. The only way you can make that jump as Shadow X is if you have the Jumper upgrade on, otherwise, he won't get enough distance to make it.

So not only can you not beat the game as regular X, you can't beat it as Blade X either, effectively making that armor useless. All it's good for now is just grabbing that one heart tank in Rainy Turtloid's stage, and only because you have to use Mach dash to reach it. That's what I mean by broken level design, not hard levels, just plain broken.

Been playing it for years, way back when it first dropped on the US and to this day I haven't found a way through as regular X, couldn't even find a good Gameshark code to do it(cause we didn't have Action Replay back then).

To get the heart and the armor part in Rainy Turtloid's level just get he by an enemies and dash through the spikes.  I also played this game when is first came out and I'm surprised you haven't figured it out, no wonder you hate the game.

That really has nothing to do with what I was talking about, I have no problems getting the parts. I've played it so much I prefer to challenge myself and not get them at all playing just as X. I can do that with every other X game except this one for the above stated reason, and of course X7 because you have to get 64 rescues before you can even play as him, which is just stupid. And I never said I hated the game, It's just at the bottom of my list of the X series due to what I stated earlier. Although, I haven't decided if X6 or X7 come dead last on my list.

Well, Rockman X6 will remain on my top list along with X1-5....then X8 and of course X7 is my least favorite.  Though X7 has my favorite music in the series and has a nice roster of Mavericks as well as introducing us to Axl.  It also has my favorite game cover in the X7 (Japanese versions).

I like X8, it's what X7 should have been. Rocking soundtrack, excellent gameplay, tons of bonus crap, plently of reasons to play it over again, and Axl is actually fun to play with. It's everything that is right about the X series, just 3d-ified.
