ipod help pls

ok this was a stupid move of me but ill tell the story. one day i decided to download new music and since it was 2 in the mourning, i thought, ill wait till tomorrow mourning before i go to school. woke up late and rushed around, plugged ipod in and it was reading the music on to it, i was trying to hurry up soo the min it got done updating all my music into it, instead of me hitting the eject button, i just unhook it and get my butt to school xD. so when i check out my new music, i find that there is nothing there! soo i thought, ill wait till i get home to plug in my ipod again. got home, plugged it in and now my itunes doesnt read my ipod (and btw, my itunes version is the one cd that came with the vid ipod) soo i was wondering, how do i fix? ive tried the hold menu and the middle button, tried it agian while connected. soo help (and yes i searched google, nothing there cept ITUNES 7!) soo ya, can i get some help pls (it was a stupid move on my part  )
