Wrestlemania XXIV Discussion Thread: The end of an era
« on: March 30, 2008, 09:25:31 PM »
As expected, tonight at Wrestlemania XXIV,Ric Flair officially retired from wrestling, after a brilliant and long career
From what i read in the coverage, the match was great, and very emotional at the end...just by reading it i felt like crying  :'(
But it was about time,he needed to retire eventually,so it`s much better to do it with pride and against a great opponent and friend like HBK
  ^:)^  =D> Thx for all Nature Boy!!  =D>  ^:)^

Quick results:
*Kane won the 24-man battle royal to qualify and defeated Chavo Guerrero for the ECW Championship
*JBL defeated Finlay in a Belfast Brawl
*CM Punk won the Money in the Bank ladder match
*Beth Phoenix & Melina def. Ashley & Maria in the BunnyMania Lumberjack Match(filler #1)
*Floyd Maywhether knocked the f*ck out of Big Show( :DxDie filler #2)
*Batista defeated Umaga in an interbrand match(filler #3??)
*Shawn Michaels defeated "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and ends his career
*Randy Orton pinned Cena to retain the WWE Championship(Triple Threat Match:Orton-Cena-HHH)
and the main event ppl:
**Undertaker defeated Edge by submission to become the new World Heavyweight Champion**

Wow. He was a good wrestler and one of my favorites.

A thought: Would mugenizing him be a good idea?

Originally, this topic was to talk about Flair`s retirement match against HBK...but i will take that advice to call it "Wrestlemania 24 discussion thread"  :)

You know lots of wrestling fans will be coming into this topic. So I'm thinking that calling it the Wrestling thread would be a good idea. But you don't have to if you don't want to though.Anyway Matt Hardy's Back?No way I can't believe it.Was John Cena at Wrestlmania?

Undertaker has had a long and interesting career...so i doubt he will ever lose his undefeated streak, making a future retirement as undefeated at WM...still we have Taker for a few more years tough,he`s still unstoppable  >:D

News on Rey:
Quote
Source - Wrestling Observer Newsletter

- Rey Mysterio's biceps got infected from his initial surgery, so he's now had three operations. Many close to the situation are worried about the new procedure that was used, as Dr. James Andrews, an expert in this field, doesn't do it that way. Nonetheless Mysterio is still slated to return to the ring by June.
Also flair getting owned:
